lol raremob thinks hes good. When 48% of all rogues are better then him bahahahah

This is the dumbest decision you’ve made in a long series of dumb decisions.

what determines “good”?

id say 80%+ is decent for parsing good is pry 90+

Everyone is so up in arms about this but also wanted a real classic experience.

If you look at the time frame from back in the day this is about the same time frame for AQ40 - > Naxx.

Also this means we are HOPEFULLY getting a TBC beta announced soon and this world buff meta is done.

If you haven’t cleared full content by this point with the sheer amount of free information out there or by just out gearing content no idea what to tell you.

I ordinarily write off a lot of the complaining about Blizz’s decisions as just more Unpleasable Fanbase Syndrome but like… this one is actually distressing to me. I play classic as a raiding tank, and have played retail at varying degrees of intensity since the game launched…

I’ve been prepping for Naxx in classic since basically phase one - scraping together all the gear I’ll need to do things like tank 4h. In retail I prepurchased shadowlands. These are both sides of WoW I’ve been looking forward to playing.

I dislike this decision for several reasons.

  1. In vanilla there was a delay between the scourge invasions and the opening of Naxx. One of the goals of classic - as evidenced by spacing out content - has been to mimic the vanilla release experience. This is extremely unfaithful to that.

  2. The multi-day raiding requirement Naxx is going to impose on most guilds is going to put a strain on intraguild relationships because you’re going to make doing Naxx compete with the weeks leading up to Christmas. Many of us playing classic are older (the infamous “dad guilds”) and we have families and obligations. Our guild was already predicting that the stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas would be rough for us. Now telling us we’ll be on week 3 or 4 of Naxx over Christmas week? That’s going to be painfully disruptive.

  3. This is going to create a “competition” between retail and classic. I already hate the number of players who see the two as competing properties. Large chunks of the people I know personally play both and those noisily deriding one or the other are always exasperating.

And now there’s a situation where classic guilds will have to deal with a sizable portion of their players wanting to play SL and retail guilds feeling like classic is “poaching” a chunk of hardcore players. I can’t see anyone - people who like classic only, people who like retail only, or people who like both being happy about the end results in this.

I personally think you ought to consider dropping the scourge invasion content in December and Naxx some time in January - or even February. That way “bored” classic-only players will have something to do and Naxx will launch at a time when guilds have a stable post-holidays base available.

I never said the majority but it’s probably a hefty amount. It’s just dumb to think everyone playing classic is playing retail. Ok so you do better dps than me and you play retail… that doesn’t mean everybody else does.

The fact that you brought up parsing and logs trying to e-peen your way to victory literally doesn’t have ANY baring on to who plays classic on vs who plays both. Mr “half my guild plays retail and mythic raids and plays Classic for Speed Running and parse”… Congrats on being hardcore I guess?

You said it yourself you play for speed running and do mythic raids so you basically are playing all the time… you think THAT’S the majority?

Never made any claims about majority or player base like you

I never said majority either

I asked for proof since everyone is in a different boat when it comes to this game.

Ok then I’ll ask the same thing… show me proof that most players playing classic play retail. If you can provide that then I guess that discredits my argument… right?

p.s. ur name does look familiar, i think i’ve seen u in BG’s

I am not the 1 making claims… Its not common sense to think just cause someone plays Classic they dont also play Retail… That is an assumption.

Near full AQ40 BiS doesn’t make you a non-casual. You asked for my logs then turn around and say I have an epeen kekw.

you brought up the logs first and called me a casual and bragged about speed running and doing mythic… uhh I would consider that e-peen material bro

Yeah given your WCL it looks like you are a casual and then you turn and trying to defend yourself as a non-casual… You can try to back pedal all you want bud.

I’m not backpeddling at all, I dont’ even know what considers casual… I mean clearing all content and I’m still considered casual… ok then call me casual, I guess everyone has different versions of what casual is. Take a cookie. Or am I casual because I don’t play retail? I don’t wanna play retail.

Oh man this is too soon and bad timing. Lots of us have cleared AQ since week 1 but there are many guilds out there still progressing or working on their speed. Also, with SL coming out right before, you are basically forcing players to make a choice between retail and classic when before they could do both.

Take advantage of the classic player base that has patience and love of the broader world and delay this until the new year

Please bring Out The currency PVP system on December 1st as well please. I think most players would agree it would just be a better change.

Nice. Get to TBC asap.
