This is really stupid between Shadowlands launch the week of Thanksgiving followed by mythic raids in December, and now Naxx in December. Guess no one is supposed to enjoy holidays and spend time with their family? You choose Q4 profits over the players being able to enjoy the content and not cause real life conflicts. Terrible move.

Ignore the cope in the thread blizzard, this is a good move. Honestly it should be a November launch for naxx but this is fine too. Just give us a tbc launch date as well.
Um shouldnât the Naxx event come out BEFORE Naxx releases? Thatâs how it was in vanilla⌠it was out a few weeks before Naxx leading up to the raid⌠this makes no sense that it just releases the same day.

The timing on this is terrible - what is the point of releasing this a month ahead of schedule? Nobody wants this rushed out the door and we want to sit on this a long while before TBC as well. Youâre not getting new subs because of the release and youâre not losing subs by releasing after the holidays, why not keep it for January instead of making people choose between losing a raid spot and spending time with their family over the holiday season?

While everything you said is true, it doesnât matter to them because that wonât show until Q1 of next year and who cares about that rn, iâm sure theyâll drop some more cartoons in the store people can buy.
they arenât gonna do that. that was the mistake they made in vanilla, part of the reason many people didnât do Naxx, you will be lucky if they even announce TBC at blizzcon, then it needs a beta, then a release date. Youâre lookin at summer 2021
Many classic players donât play retail, they are releasing something for both sets of players. I personally donât even have retail installed

This is incredibly bad timing. I think activition is dropping the ball here, blizzard is obviously controlled by them as you can see from the last few years. I understand how much AQ is aids but we have been in there since week 1 and still dont have anyone fully bis. I believe it would have been a much better idea to launch this in Jan.
This almost makes people chose between shadowlands or classic. I planned to do both but now I need to focus to much on my classic guild. Get the sticks out of your asses blizzard. Not to mention the fact that this is all coming out right before holiday season. So dumb, this decision will likely lose more subs then create in short term.

what? Do you want to see my desktop or something? I donât have retail installed. Not sure how you wanna see proof other than take my word for it. Many players in my guild say they donât play retail either, I take their word for it. So not sure exactly I can prove I donât play it lol

Proof that many classic players dont play retail
Itâs been a while since Iâve been this frustrated by a blizzard decision as I have come to watch others fill that void of expressing their concerns with the game we all love. The news that Naxx will be released amid the opening of Shadowlands is infuriating. It feels so transparently greedy and filled with motive.
As a raid leader in Classic we have held the ship together with the intent of getting to Naxx to see the content and experience it without interruption as we did 15 years ago with the annoucement of BC.
Whatâs the motive? To me its fairly simply another cash grab on behalf of Activision. They donât want classic competing with retail b/c retail has all of the micro-transactions. They also donât care about classic even though it rekindled the community. They want to be able to say how great their new content is.
Instead, they just made it next to impossible for us to sustain a raid through Classic.

You clearly play Classic casually given your WCL⌠Half my guild plays retail and mythic raids and plays Classic for Speed Running and parse⌠Just cause the group you play with doesnât play both game doesnât mean that is the majority.

There are plenty of people that play both. About 3/4 of my guild in classic was planning on trying out shadowlands in conjunction with raiding AQ. Putting Naxx into the mix makes this much harder on time spent especially during holiday season. The better call would have been release date of 01/10/2020.
