You guys realise you don’t have to do Naxx as soon as it’s released right? If you want to wait until January, wait until January. Unless your guild is going for classic server first there is zero rush.
And really, if your concern is people having to choose between family and raiding, you need to reassess your priorities.
I don’t get the backlash. I personally want it to come out. I think most people complaining are people that play both. My only gripe is them releasing the event and naxx on the same day… in vanilla the event was out weeks before naxx leading up to the release.
Unless you are a part of a smaller tight-knit guild, that’s unrealistic - you are going to lose members to other guilds doing the latest content if you even try to do delay stepping foot inside.
Fair enough, but I feel like people who put speed over guilds are probably not people who would be all that reliable anyway. Maybe those smaller tight-knit guilds that make allowances for each other are the way to go. You can always raid together with another similar guild
When was the Invasion event in OG Vanilla? I have to assume it came out with the Naxx Patch 1.11 right?
Unless my memory is not remembering correctly, I coulda sworn the event was out a few weeks before Naxx came out leading up to the release. There was even somethign where all NPC’s were getting sick and the disease spreaded, I’m not sure if they are doing that this time thou
Just LOL @ these shadowlands babies and casuals crying about “too soon”, classic already ran its course, literally everyone I knew quit the game because it’s boring, im the only one left on it, this is perfect and I hope blizzard releases TBC soon. Classic was good, TBC is better.
That did happen towards the end of TBC with the LK pre-patch - I think that’s where everyone here is confusing it with.

All sources seem to point it coming with the 1.11 patch in OG Vanilla (June 19/20 2006) with the Naxx World first kills happening on the 20th.
What do you consider yourself? To me I look at your logs and I see someone that is a casual / dad gamer and there is nothing wrong with that. You wanna take 3hours to clear AQ40 (and not even clear it on your last raid) that is fine but not something I wanna do. I would rather clear all the raids in 1 night and raid on multiple toons each week and focus on doing my best in each raid.

Why do we (classic players) have to wait for shadowlands release? They’re 2 different games, it’s not out fault ur choosing to play both. This is the perfect timeline, some of us don’t care about ur baby retail version.
My group cleared it the last raid… we have 2 raid groups in my guild cuz lets face it… alliance on our server is basically whole server, group 1 was on wednesday. my group goes on sunday.
I wouldn’t call myself hardcore like you but I don’t consider myself casual casual. I mean I go to every raid each week and log in to pvp and maybe do the occasional dungeon. But maybe you’re right… I don’t go and get full world buffs. I’ll get a ZG buff and a head buff… I don’t go out of my way to get DMT(sometimes) and songflowers basically doubling my damage… maybe for Naxx I will thou. p.s. as far as DPS goes… I also don’t have windfury!
As far as not clearing the last raid, you might be looking at my guild’s last raid log or something which I wasn’t at on wed. I go this sunday.
This is way way way too soon, stop rushing things in order to cash in on the sub gains from TBC. It’s so obvious and leaves a bad taste in my mouth
45 minutes is a slow clear, stop talking to this guy like you’re anything special.
I’ve seen blizzard go back on their word before, hopefully the team decides this is a poor time to release the most anticipated patch in classic and perhaps delay it by a month or so.
