Passive Damage

Why is everything just passive damage. Every bis pve trinket passive procs that hit for 70k. Leviathans and Oblivion Spears being BIS for melee classes while being int trinkets because they proc damage that hits harder than every ability in some cases for classes. Actually disgusting. Only casts that matter are % health abilities while random trinkets global people.

Hate that my entire rotation on class is passive damage built on top of 1 ability that procs more passive damage for passive damage traits I spec into because they’re bis that everyother class gets to use too. My pants are the hardest hitting thing yet its a random proc that every leather wearer can have. Best damaging trait is out of raid that procs damage also hits harder than chaos strike. This passive proc can proc spears because its spell damage too which is more passive damage.

It’s actually insane how passive this game is no wonder you see passive dampening comps. Melees bis gear is passive healing.

Count how many of those are actual abilities.

Our days are numbered they’re pulling out all the stops now to kill pvp. They’re trying to make it so that you’re tempted by all the flashy Pve gear that would give you an advantage in arena to spend way more time praying for drops than you do qing up.

I mean I main PvE but its just so boring that I dont see big hits anymore from my spells. Its literally just 12 sources of random procs. It’s disgusting.

I miss in MoP when I’d snapshot my buffs and do a juicy 2x chaos wave. I miss in legion where I’d crit chaos strikes after stacking that stat up a ton and getting resources back and having 250% crit damage on that ability and knowing that stats I got buffed my class. Instead its just random procs that don’t buff my kit instead just add random procs that should all just be abilities or rotational difficulty.

not to be negative but i’d rather lose because coinflip oblivion spear than because tuning into “active”, “engaging” abilities means that dj doublejump and his big brother harry heroclass both slammed a strike of either chaos or frost 3-4 times after they both pushed a stun at the same time

at least oblivion spear sometimes won’t favor the enemy lol

Don’t have chaos strike be my biggest source of damage then. Bring back mop level of complexities. You know how sick dh would be if it had Demo lock from mop resource management and was just a melee version of it. Wouldn’t be a dh vs wwer which one is better than the other version of itself. You have weeb class 1 and edgy weeb class.

yeah wish for whatever you want but that’s not the world we live in, they make exactly as many changes as they feel pressured to and this thread requests that they do x, x being reduce trinket damage and add ability damage.

you think they’re gonna then go back and design a pvp spec for every class that’s fun and engaging and has a damage model with counterplay? lol

No but its fun to complain about int trinkets being BiS for Agility users.
