Its just another nonissue that blizzard needed to “fix” . Just one of the many this xpac.

Leveling is one of the very few legitimate content options BFA has to offer, taking into account the new allied races leveling is probably the biggest content of this expansion.
Blizzard cannot allow players to consume that content too fast, even more players will become bored faster than the current depressing situation.
Ok WTF is Twink XP leveling?
So many things people are raging about and I don’t know what they are talking about.
This is more of an issue than current content. I am levelling a DH for the first time and within 3 dungeons I already ran into a level 110 twink, either a twink or a max level legion account character.
And the guy was geared to the wazoo to the point I could barely keep up. I was the only one who just managed to tag the first 3 bosses for loot, everyone else missed out entirely and no one but the twink got anything from the last boss.
Gear is one thing, but imagine waiting half an hour for a queue only to than get no experience from it and having to re-queue 5 minutes later for another half hour wait.
What’s funny is the person causing the problems gets absolutely no punishment, because they have exp reduced by 100% by choice. This is another example of horrible decision making by this company.
I did a ton of freehold boosts on some alts since there is literally nothing else to do in this game - however, with the introduction to flight with 8.2 the leveling experience will be MUCH faster solo, so those boosts really aren’t worth it anymore anyway.
If it works the way people are saying it works, it only punishes anyone who makes the mistake of giving a boost seller gold/cash.
Allegedly it wont affect anyone who randomly joins a group with a twink, just people who join their party ahead of time.
How is someone leveling from 110 to 120 in under 2 hours bad for the game? like damn I need to boost my rouge before 8.2
They should just delete twinks. Problem solved.
Blizzard’s current team is a bunch of hardcore control freaks. Whether that’s by choice or by order is up for grabs, but they lose it any time people play the game outside of how their team thinks it should be done.

Just want to point out that you can also add anal to your filter…
It’s a round about way, but you can use the wow gold to buy a game token to pay the subscription there by saving you 15 dollars for which you can then use to buy said bigmac. There are other ways you can do it, though pretty much all the ways you can convert wow gold to currency would be against ToS.

Good question, but I would assume it’s because they don’t want to punish those players opting into that play style.
It’s really weird that the group will suffer over someone opting for XP turning off.

Assuming I understand it correctly, nothing is stopping folks that have XP turned off to queue into a random group. Granted folks could kick/remove that individual decreasing their XP rewards, but you could assume that folks won’t observe the difference until a bit later into the dungeon. At least in the beginning of the patch release.
From what it appears, allegedly only players grouped with the twink will get the debuff. Not the random people from a queue. Thats whats being reported, but not absolutely confirmed.
I’ll be ok with this being how it’s handled.
Well it achieves blizz’s goal without barring twinks from actually participating and doesnt negatively affect other players so if it works the way people are describing it sounds like the most solid plan.
Just no more boosting levels.

I just dont understand how its negatively affecting other people as it stands.
Ugh, I have XP locked Tanks in every expansion bracket to level buddies returning to the game or just que up for random dungeons as a Tank to give randoms a good clean/fast dungeon experience. Now I can’t use those characters without ruining leveling for everyone else. Yet again screwed over by Blizz.
