A fair compromise if you ask me, personally i think it should go further to include basic matchmaking with options if you want to fight with players who are twinks, have heirlooms and/or normal players, with options to exclude/include of coarse.
Listen, blizzard is the one pulling the plug not me. You are barking up the wrong tree
This is not about battlegrounds ffs. This is no way affects you. If anything you might get grouped with a twink offering random dungeon carries that makes your dungeons about 60% faster or maybe even better than that.
I get bored and get on my DH from time to time and que into dungeons then change to havoc and tell everyone via macro what I am doing. If anyone has and objections I will go back to vengance and basically still carry the group it just wont be quite as fast.
When the tool is used properly as it was intended, its fine. XP off for BGs or to avoid over levelling when dealing with friends is perfectly fine.
When you use it to be a powerhouse and chain run dungeons, which you sell as an in-game service, it becomes a problem.
Blizzard decided to simply remove the power levelling as an option by applying a debuff when you manually group up with xp off.
It isnât 120 instanced contentâŚhe is literally only fighting level 110 mobs. He isnât going into Kingâs Rest/Siege or Uldir/BoD/CoS.
They should either keep the twinking/cheating kids in one server and fight other twinking kids, or:
Just ban twinks and never have to play this headgame ever again. Let them cry.
I still donât agree that power-leveling with the use of intended in-game uses is necessarily an exploit, since it doesnât 100% fit the definition of one. But I can see where everyone is coming from.
I have both 110 and 111 DH twinks and my 110 is better IMO than my 111. I run a mastery build for carries and even tho you can get more on the 111 it seems to scale better for me on my 110.
That literally happens, right now.
There already is a system to prevent overfarming dungeons. Itâs called instance lockout. You cant enter more than 10 instances every hour. If they are unhappy with the rate they should just adjust this. Or better yet make BFA leveling tolerable to the point that people dont feel they need to get boosted by a twink.
Blizzard could have labelled it an exploit and dropped the ban hammer. Itâs their call on what uses of in game features is an exploit.
They chose the simple route and are making âpower levellingâ no longer a valid option.
cant tell if troll or just willingly ignorant
All theyâre doing is circle arguments, in other words, running around you and your points in a circle to get you exhausted and then you quit. They are not interested in your argument or viewpoint. That is the only way they can âwinâ the argument, is to mentally exhaust you. This is why I just stop talking to them.
Much like pvp, they canât argue rationally or maturely, and they know twinking is wrong but have no defense for it.
This wouldnt be needed if the scaling wasnt so bonkers as to make lower level toons stronger than higher level toonsâŚ
Getting weaker as you level is the exact opposite of how a RPG should work
I, contrary to popular belief apparently didnât know, twink in islands to get the 6/9 mounts I have is wrong. Please father forgive me for my sins of having a 110 character to do islands with my friends and have fun.
How does someone getting carried from 110 to 120 hurt you? I can understand the BG thing, but leveling via twink does nothing to you. How is it different from someone buying CE or AOTC? Oh thats right, itâs not.
Or the fact people just ran you through Darkheart Thicket since you could actually pull the entire start of the dungeon as a 101 twink and get away with it.
Oh the higher end carries/sells are allowed because reasons?
They almost did, back in BC. Look at how mad you get them when you put a rule on themâŚthey flip out like children. And this pushbackâŚtantrum that twinks pour out is the reason Blizz didnât ban all of them. The caved to the twinks. One of Blizzâs biggest mistakes, and we can clearly see that they regret that decision.
We all know the real reason tho. It wonât be long now before they will be selling 120 boosts and they are going to sell far less if everyone spends 20 dollars for a token to pay for a boost via twink then if they pay 60 dollars to blizzard for it.
