So it could just be somewhere in my settings, but whenever I’m in a group, the only messages that I can read in the text chat are the party leaders. I can read all messages in a text bubble while its over the players head, but after its gone theres not history for me to read. This only happens in party’s though, not in raid groups.
Right-click the general tab in your chat box, select settings. Possible only the party leader box is ticked.

That is entirely possible, and I’d start there. If that doesn’t help type /resetchat and reset your chat settings to default.
If the issue persists, try the following:
With the game client closed:
- Open the
WTFdirectory- Open the
Accountdirectory- Open the directory corresponding to your realm
- Open the directory corresponding to your character
- Delete the chat-cache.txt
- Restart your client and log in.
