My dad died in 2022 and I’ve been dreading trying to reclaim his account. I guess I’m scared that the process will be long and drawn out when I just got done dealing with other proceedings (FINALLY) not even 6 months ago. I think I know his email that was used, but don’t have his computer. I can provide information about characters on the account and I think my account was linked to his, back when he created mine for me as a minor.
Has anyone gone through this? Is it hard? Is it worth it? Let me know if you have any insight.

You can contact Blizzard with a death certificate. They will handle it case by case.
Having identifiable information to track the account like payment methods used, CD keys, name-realm etc is generally helpful but they will ask if they’re not sure.
