i’m thinkin about rolling/maining a shaman, but i’m having an issue deciding which race to go with.
the issue mostly, is that i’m planning on both fishing, and doing archaeology, and i know dwarves get a good archaeology buff, but pandaren look SO darn happy while fishing, it makes me enjoy it more…
which one should i go with?
Dwarf and Draenei are the coolest Alliance races. Pandas are ok.
I would create trial characters and play them for a while. Maybe the way a panda runs annoys you or you hate the way armor looks on a dwarf.
I would say Pandaren. Especially Pandaren Elemental. Given how their totems look, you’ll pretty much be the 4th Caster spec of monk with out actually rolling a monk.
Plus legion mail set looks pretty good on Pandarens.
I vote Dwarf. Dwarves are cool!
Dwarf with heritage armour if enh/ele
Pandaren look weird in most armor. There bellies make you see how weird the armor system is in WoW. And the painted on abs for a lot of old armor sets.
Female dwarf is awesome. Male dwarf has nice wildhammer tattoos and animations. Female wildhammer is perfect.
If you’re most concerned about the look of the totems, go Panda. If that doesn’t matter, my recommendation is to go with Dwarf. They have good traits, heritage armor looks cool, and beards. Like others have said though, try both. Leveling is so fast now-a-days you can easily get both to level 20 or 30 and see how you feel about them.
I really like how dwarves look in enh mogs in general.
Pandaren. I love them and so should you. Second best race behind the mighty troll race
I lean towards Dwarf, especially if you’re going Enhancement. Pandaren are pretty good too, though!
If it can be a dwarf, it should be a dwarf.

Dwarf shamans are super iconic, but hey, play what you enjoy 
Dwarf/Dark Iron Dwarf are always the ways to go

I think the Mole Machine is one of the best QOL racials out there too.
If you can’t go orc, then Panda.
I’m a big fan of dwarves and will always recommend playing one however there’s one thing you said that makes me say Pandaren.
Pandaren are definitely one of the more happy and fun races to play. Their personalities, animations and voices add up to a fun experience. That’s my recommendation. 
If that’s the only criteria, then Dwarf.
