All really depends on how you feel for it. Do you want some fantasy to drive the choice? Racials? Perhaps purely through appeal?
For me, I always liked Pandaren because it steers from the human-looking races, even being a Draenei is crossing it but narrowly not enough to avoid playing as them. That’s typically my reasoning as well as Roleplaying.
My opinion is more biased to suggest Pandaren but always think about how it’ll work out for you.

The obvious answer is Dwarf, duh.
Nothing says Alpha more than playing a Dwarf.

I know this is an old post but I’m thinking about shaman also and couldn’t decide between dwarf or pandaren for my shaman.

I’m letting you know 18 months later that I agree with your original assertion. I would like to add that Dark Iron Dwarves are…cooler than Bronzebeard or Wildhammer dwarves

i will admit, to me the concept of necro-threads is quaint with a near 20 year old game. Though I can appreciate not wanting to proliferate outdated information
The age of the game doesn’t have any relevance on an individual topic. When a topic hasn’t been responded to for a while, it’s typically easier to just make a new one, rather than trying to continue a discussion from months or even years back where the people within it have more than likely don’t even remember the context, if they’re even still around to begin with. It’s an awkward situation all around, like walking up to someone and trying to continue in the middle of a conversation you had a week ago

I appreciate that. But…i can’t help but thinking…why does blizzard retain the data beyond, say, 6 months? why not lock them to begin with? have the system prevent the issues.
You’re correct, and I’m just pondering. Because adding a couple extra posts into the stream isn’t an issue, unless it’s incorrect information - but at that point, you don’t need the dilation of time to make posts incorrect.
Shaman needs to be an orc or tauren, or you go onto an FBI watch list.
Maybe you could get away with a dwarf if you only do it once, depends on the judge you end up in front of.

We had this discussion also in the family.
The correct choice, regardless of how you feel, are Wildhammer Dwarves. They are the ones who actually use the elements more than the Dark Iron Dwarves, who just look “elemental” but aren’t really ones.
Dark Iron Dwarves are more represented through Warriors, Mages, Priests and Warlocks than through anything else. Canonically the Warlock class is introduced through the DID in Cataclysm, according my oldest brother.
The Wildhammer Clan is the most vicious one of the dwarves and it fits perfectly for an Enhancer Warrior.
