Pandamonium, Is it Worth it?

I don’t know about this. Does this new feature going to be like a Season of Discovery? Is it worth to create a new Pandaren and do Mist again?

Yes, it’s all going to be like SoD now - infusing old content with (the crap of) retail.

That being said…this Remix idea is brilliant on their part. They get to re-purpose old code with minimal development expense and create a diversion while they finish up TWW.

If you liked MoP - and I did, very much - this could be fun, if limited. The characters you create will be limited to just that game mode so there is that to consider.

I haven’t played it, but yes.

Whatever race you like, you’ll level to 70 within then pop out into retail.

I dont overall mind it if its between having something like this or having nothing.

But this time sensitive stuff is annoying. I get it you want me to stay subbed but i got a life yo.

Id rather it be here so i can do it a year from now

You don’t have to make a pandaren.

Making a new pandaren is always worth it.

Temporarily. You get to move them to retail after it’s done, and you keep all the cosmetics.

I keep seeing this going around when it’s absolutely not true. Idk if people have just completely forgotten how things worked pre-SL (SL also being an outlier because the 3rd patch was scrapped due to being abandoned) but we’d usually get 3 major patches in an expansion, not 2 with a fated “season” and some low effort extra game modes thrown in as a placeholder.

But that’s the thing. Complaining about it won’t get them to suddenly make a patch.

Especially not a good one.

Have you?

You might be missing the usual 9+ month drought of absolutely nothing that accompanied the end of every expansion before Shadowlands.

I think so.

For speed leveling alts in preparation for War Within this looks like a dream. And you get all sorts of cosmetics to take with you.

Precisely.

It’s fine filler content. The nature of the large expansion that even they can’t just “throw people at it” to make it better, faster, deeper, etc. There are always bottlenecks in the process.

So those barking that they not “waste resources” need to understand that TWW is not being robbed. These are probably SoD folks that worked on this. Outside of the transmog, SoD has already shown that they can run “alternate realities” of the game world. Same with Plunderstorm, so even that parts not new.

Pandaria is already scaled for leveling, been that way for ages, so that’s “free”.

It’s a low labor, novel event. I think it’s going to be fun, and if it’s not…it’s not! NBD.

It’ll be a change from running the same M+ we’ve been doing.

Blizzs plan is to do initsl patch + 2 for the next 3 xpacs to crank out box sales

They dont plan on a third raid tier so its either this stuff or just languish in the last patch like any other time

I also remember the lull at the end of bfa 3 patches or not

So id rather they do this flash in the pan stuff vs running mythics again

I’m not opposed to it if it gives us something more to do than dailies.

Can’t they just let me enjoy some FF14 during the lull. Why must they strike me with my transmog weakness with yet another Fomo attack.

They said “we are going to respect the players time” but the actions don’t line up! They never line up, that’s the problem that keeps killing them!

Of course I’m going to do the dumb panda things. But honestly I’m not really excited about it. It feels like food shopping at this point.

This is how they get us. ;~; The one thing I can’t resist is good transmog. At least with 14 I kinda have nothing left to do after the crossover (god I wish they’d make that dodge mechanic a thing in the normal game)

SoD is making Classic more like Retail, and Remix is making Retail more like Classic.

Honestly, as an enjoyer of both games, I see this as a 100% win. The game clearly lost a massive amount of its audience in its transition into the modern game, and Blizzard going back and supporting that community that was lost along the way, in my eyes, is purely a fantastic thing.

I’m gonna blast MoP remix for a while, because it should drop about 2 months before Dawntrail. Dawntrail drops at the end of june/start of July, and provided MoP drops with 10.2.7, we should have about 2 months between the two releases. After I get my MoP characters leveled and in maintenance mode, I’m gonna sub to FF and clear out the 6.x MSQ that I haven’t done yet, then I’ll enjoy Dawntrail.
