Paladins nerfs next?

Pallies are shining this phase, and holy even more next phase. I feel gimped on shammy in comparison.

posted this a while back but thats comparing non rune stuff alone and proving pallies are superior to shaman in a large way.

theres more that could be posted but ya.

Warrior need to get a shattering throw rune and ill be happy

we need shattering throw and mass dispel, but it will never happen because the main dev is playing a ret, that class is just made for people without any skill, the only way to beat ret is to kite him, which is impossible with the 20% speed buff. Expect ret paladins just to dominate entire SoD and have the best gear because main dev wants to have fun.

I’ll certainly take being middle of the pack in PvE for dominating in PvP if that’s the tradeoff! Always been more of a PvPer anyways

if you call holding W and right clicking a pvp then sure.

Always the same story with paladins in early versions of the game/patch

Paladin damage is good until people start gearing and they can no longer global people then they get kited through their very few tools to gap close

You mean like…

  • Beacon of light doubles healing output of a paladin. While Shaman have Overload, which was recently buffed to now provide a 25% increase to healing output.

  • Divine Storm being able heal party or raid members, While Ancestral Guidance only heals party members…not that it matters since Shaman are pigeonholed into taking either Shamanistic rage or way of earth depending on role. Even if it were usable though it’s still vastly inferior to DS which is an AOE attack with just a 10sec CD.

  • Ret getting crusader strike (mana return) and Divine Storm (AoE + heal), meanwhile Enh got Lava lash…which simply deals offhand damage.

To be fair, I didn’t have a huge problem with Shaman runes when I first saw them, They seem fitting for Classic. But compared to what Paladins got…

I feel like shamans time will come at 40 its really when they got decent in classic eles gonna be good an enh an resto

oh theres alot more as to why pallies > shaman pve wise and pvp wise just functionally and its not even close even at 60 i would gather.

The main dev plays a paladin, there is a reason why all the mail in the game is twice as good as the other items. None of the team plays horde or a shaman so they dont really care about shamans to begin with.

The dev that nerfs hunters and adds the comment “we’re concerned pets will still be too strong after this” mains a pally and is a rotate lay on hands with no forbearance on EFC premade enjoyer so good luck EVER seeing them nerfed in SoD.

Paladins are fine. The only real CD we had is lsy on hands but its not ciable to use often due to the mana cost and the cooldown.

Having a 5m CD for 8 seconds of gloriously sitting on people is fine. It is no more overpowered than Rogues with sprint vanish and prep and eighty bajillion stuns or Warriors popping recklessness one shot macros.

Just you hate it because its one more thing you have to worry about.

Why are you coming in and making snarky comments about PvP balance in a version of the game you don’t even play or understand?

no. people hate it cause it takes 2 people to take on 1 pally in most instances.

you throw off the fact that you have 3 life bars every hour and 2 every 5 mins.

you throw off the fact that you can hit my tank shaman with 2k+ health for a 3rd of my health in 1 strike.

you throw off the fact that forbearance should be such that you cant use either of your two bubbles and then use loh back to back.

pallies are busted .

Shammies should dance circles around Pallies in 1v1. Purge HoF, Earthbind and Frost Shock, and laugh as they stagger around with their pants around their ankles.

Pop a bandage when they bubble, and repeat.

thats called trade offs for survivability vs dmg.

im sure you dont know that on your pally as much as shamans have to give up but ya.

you know one time i chased a pally from my flag room to their tunnel purging the pally and frost shocking to keep him within distance . all the while being slowed from shield for about 10 or so seconds.

he popped freedom midway through and it took 5 more dispels to get to the freedom buff with 2 seconds left on the freedom.

the funny thing about purge is it fizzles and doesnt show the animation when theres nothing to dispel. the whole way through there were buffs to dispel all the way from my flag room to their tunnel.

suffice it to say when i caught up to him i was oom and died to his teamates who just ressed.

you are very durable to the point of stupidity without the tradeoffs of doing considerably less damage.
