Paladin Spell color

Would anyone else think it would be cool if paladins could do a quest where we could change the color of our abilities? Kinda like the green fire quest for warlocks.

Like some sort of corrupted paladin and the gold abilities are replaced with void purple or fel green, I think that would be badass for roleplaying as a dark/corrupted paladin. The wings that appear could change to evil looking bat wings or something too. I hope blizzard adds more customization like this.

But wouldn’t a “corrupted” paladin stop being a paladin?

Well we have the corrupted ashbringer, something similar to that where we’d fight darkness with darkness.

No. :unamused:

You hate fun

It would be cool, and I’d love to see the idea expanded to a more flame styled light for the Arathi and silver colored light for night elves.

The currupted ashbringer was not used by paladins…

It was used by a death knight.

Ding ding ding!

We have a winner! That is the correct answer! Paladins are strictly light users! And are infused with light magic. A paladin that uses say void or fel would be an entirely different class. An example of that would be death knights and demon hunters.

While I agree that Paladins are infused with light, at this point there are already enough deviations that it would be cool to bring back Glyphs to add more customization. They don’t have to call it fel, corrupted, or anything.

Change the color to what, pink?

Getting serious, I would like to try pure white on my spells instead of yellow chicken one.

You saw what colors the Dawnbreaker mobs had?
From mobs that worshiped the “ligth”/fire previously?

That’s coming to paladin in Midnight.

I’m 90% sure.
There’s gonna be some dichotomy stuff between light and void and that’s gonna spill over Hero trees.

Now a bunch of people are gonna say that it goes against the lore.

Well TOO BAD!!
Blizz doesn’t care.

Make your peace with it!

You saw your future and it is voidish.

Ben, they are not gonna make hero tree’s that crosses classes. The intent for them is cover existing themes related to the class.

Paladins are not priests, they do not use magic the same as them.

But fire works for paladins due to “holy flame” themes that already exist with paladins with the ashbringer burning the undead into ash.

Probably not, that would be wild.
But there are angle they could take to make it work, but I do think it would require too much work for 18month expac/development time.

But the void stuff is coming.
They don’t care about established lore, they are gonna change it so that paladin will look like the dawnbreaker mobs.

That’s my humble opinion anyway.

I could be wrong but that light rock switching from light to shadow is foreshadowing something and it will impact us.

The rock is reflective of naaru cycles…

It’s most likely another prime naaru.

I wouldn’t mind more red.

Also if we could get a glyph where our wings looked like the angels from D4.

Guess I just want to look like Imperius.

Priest says hello with “Holy Fire”.

There’s already been a ton of things that broke lore especially with how they added Paladin to certain races. Adding color is so insignificant compared to that.

They also channel the light, not summon the light from within themselves.

Also i already mentioned holy fire thematic with the light.

Yes, but I don’t see why that should limit the ability to customize spell colors. Seems like a silly thing to draw a line in when they already broke lore or added “modern” canon story.
