Paladin Problems that could use some work. : )

like parry, its dumb friction that serves no purpose but to annoy

its quality of life, stop talking about skill ceiling like you know what it is

i didnt know dk has a gap closer (inb4 deathgrip, cause deathgrip doesnt work on bosses)

no, so me a log of people taking it. show me one log of any claim you make. just one. one freaking log. you cant show me a log because logs as per usual proves my point while s**ts on yours. you can play whatever build you want in irrelevant world content, but in actual content even in meme content like normal raid, you have to show me ONE log.

you make these claims but dont show me any proof of these claims. you aka the person who are making these claims are responsible to back up your claim. show. me. one. log

So play a ranged class then?

Cake is a lie.

Wraith walk, death’s advance and steed wotks as alternatives in pve. Pvp drath grip is the main one to use.

Too bad then.

Take the L.

okay so horse and unbound freedom is alternative in pve. case closed

Except it’s not. Fv needs to loose that range and boj needs to he 10 yards.

Steed is a 45 second CD. So another gap closer is needed, espaicially in pvp.

how do dk stuff like deaths advance and wrathwalk count in your own words. but steed and unbound freedom doesnt?

Pleasee

This is still happening on the ptr come on

They all count, but in PvP DK additionally has freedom added to deaths advance through Riders, and death grips and Abomination limb, and a spammable best in game slow.

No paladin spec gets enemy movement prevention and forced enemy relocation like DK, nor instant mobility in compensation.

again im talking strictly pve. he put his own foot in his mouth and now refuses to answer cause of a weird hate bo*er for qol range

Oh, for PVE Paladins Steed is fine, because no one is fearing/stunning/snaring/rooting/ect you during it almost every time you use Steed.

Generally more mobility options on other specs beyond a run speed boost are desired by them, including in PVE. More movement options does seem better than fewer.

I agree that this would be considered more “Quality of Life” than the current Jurisdiction.

The reasoning is, if something was truly Quality of Life, it wouldn’t really be a huge factor in Design or Balancing because it would just be that… “Quality of Life.”

You’d be able to say:

Ret Paladins have:

  • Gap Closers:
    • Unbound Freedom
    • Divine Steed x2
    • “Falling Sword”
  • QoL:
    • Judgement and HoW 30 yard range
    • FV and BoJ 20 yard range

in the same way you could say:

Unholy Death Knights have:

  • Gap Closers:
    • Wraith Walk
    • Death’s Advance (Death Charger) x2
    • Death Grip x2
  • QoL:
    • Outbreak and Clawing Shadows 30 yard range
    • Ghoul Archer, Magus Pet, Gargoyle, etc… are 20+ yard ranges

In reality, DKs don’t really get much crap for the range on their abilities, sure they have other issues in other areas, but just speaking on these things in particular. Death Coil, Diseases, Summoned Pets, etc… are just part of the way the spec is designed. It’s just the norm.

And you can’t really say Paladins are more tanky than DKs, at least in PvE…

Continuing the discussion from Undermine(d) Development Notes:

Jurisdiction isn’t seen as “QoL,” at least not in my experience, in the same way Death Coil’s Range is seen for DKs. It’s our compensation for not having a gap closer.

That’s why I believe Jurisdiction and the “Mid Range” aspect to Paladins is poorly designed. Things like Rebuke and CSAA are held to the standards of “melee.” While abilities like BoJ and FV are held to the standards of “casters.”

Again, let us choose to be more melee or more caster, or set a better design standard for Paladins. :stuck_out_tongue:

idk why yall want to remove the extra range we have on our abilities. im sorry but if yo uwant to actively make the spec worse for fantasy then idk what else to say.

this actually good thread also feels like another “leap of justice” or whatever that datamined ability was called, thread in disguise.

Agreed.
