Paid for heroic edition on second account - no character boost

normally everytime an expansion releases i upgrade both my accounts, and i get 2 boosts. this time i only got 1 boost. why?

If the boost hasn’t shown up on either account yet, it might just need some time to clear the purchase handshake.

If you’re waiting for the second boost to show up on your first account, they stopped doing that back in Dragonflight.

so paid $94 cad on second account for nothing then? i could’[ve bought the lower tier upgrade? why would they do that

It’s everyone and their mother rushing to get the pre-orders in. No one is saying this is fine, just that it’s taking time to catch up with everything.

Since it’s very recent and preorder, would not hurt to request a refund, if you don’t believe you will use the boost one the other account.

The boost comes from basic, the game time on the licence only, everything else is account bound.

Are you checking for the boost on that second account, Orcthing or were you expecting two boosts available on the first account?

If the latter, I’m afraid Ekon is correct, the boosts are bound to the WoW license, not the Bnet account. That changed a while back, several expansions ago.

If you were seeking two boosts on a single WoW license, you should be able to get a refund for your second purchase.

If you bought the epic edition for your second account specifically for the character boost… that boost comes with all editions, including the base edition. And the boost being locked to the license being upgraded has been a thing for at least the last expansion or two.

i was expecting 2 boosts. in previous expacs i always received 2 for both upgrades to my 2 accounts. i dont remember not getting a second one last expac. but maybe its been a rough year, and i’m not remembering correctly.

That is what I am trying to seek clarification about. If you wanted 2 boosts on a single WoW license, that isn’t how it currently works and hasn’t for some time.

If you are looking for a boost for each WoW license where you purchased the expansion, that is how it works.

Enhanced Level 80 Character Boost is only usable on the WoW® game account on which it was purchased or redeemed as a gift.

So if you haven’t yet received that on your second account, give it a little time. If it is still missing after 24 hours, please submit a ticket.

I should note that the level 80 boost is included in all versions of the expansion. If you purchased the Epic edition on one WoW license there isn’t anything in the Heroic version that would be a benefit that the Base edition doesn’t have.
