They were part of the original game and something needed in the current one. I know rules regarding gold amounts should be put in place, but we need these paid trasfers ASAP.
In my case, I leveled to 60 on an EST server thinking as an EST person it would be the best for me to find a raiding guild. However to my dismay, I didn’t realize that people start raids either at 7pm (before kids go to bed) or only raid weekends (Wives sometimes do like to spend time with their husbands). After doing some research (and now that guilds are recruiting for specific raid times), apparently I should have looked for a PST server to find a weeknight raid that starts at 9pm EST.
So in short, can we open up paid transfers so players can find a guild that they can actually raid / play the game with? Leveling another entire 60 in hopes of finding room in a raiding guild that fits my schedule when I hit 60 seems like a large time commitment that still may not work out. I really just want to to get back in MC.

you could always just re-roll on another server
You couldn’t commit to the time of raids on your server so what makes you think you’ll be able to on another? My server is EST and guilds are firing off raids from noon to 2am most days
level 48’s telling level 60’s to reroll lol.

Yes I could reroll. Blizzard could also allow me to pay them money to move my character like I could back in Vanilla.
The real problem with a reroll is timing. By the time I spend 6-8 weeks leveling a new character, any guild recruiting surely would have filled the raid spot. Where as if I am transferring in, there is not that delay from recruitment to actually joining the team.

What if I told you there is only one type of time? A finite one, do what makes you happy.
Yeah right, time is infinite. We may return to the energy ball after we die, but I heard they have better wifi there anyway.
Well, at least you haven’t pulled out the usual 'i want transfers because they were in vanilla" line, but not far from it either…
Paid transfers were late in the vanilla timeline, no reason to expect it to be different now. Check back after AQ has released or reroll.

I’d love to see paid transfer services as well… kind of in the same problem. And rerolling doesn’t sound like a good idea. I’ve created bonds with my toon.

Yeah, in 2006. Give them some time to get the game working and get the layering out before you ask for this.

They didn’t do it in vanilla until pretty late.
15 minute paladin buffs were late game too… So we shouldn’t see those either right?

I understand they were not in the game until later, but I also think it places current issues in the hand of the user now.
Currently you have people like myself stuck outside of raid due to timing/server fit. You also have people complaining because of the limitations of free transfers and their server balance. Let the player have the option to resolve their personal issues now, instead of waiting arbitrarily for no benefit to the community or player.
Not true, the technology on my original server started having issues pre AQ. Free transfers started the death ball rolling. Paid transfers shortly after killed it.
Point being we already have the free transfers and thats been going on for a month now. Paid isnt far behind.
They were added to the original game somewhere around the time of Naxx release. Many people, prior to that point in vanilla, did exactly what you’re able to do - reroll on another realm, level another character to 60.
Blizzard already has stated that future Paid Character Transfers may be on the table, BUT that it is very important to them to consider the impact on server community development. Paid Character Transfers get abused in a variety of ways, including running away from bad reputations and carrying over high-value items to flood an economy.
@ all the ppl saying “they werent in vainlla till 6 months b4 BC”… guess what else was not in vanilla, layering, 6 minute devilsaur timers, 1.12 patch with MC… million different things.
