Paid addon distribution by high profile players

Kind of alarming to see high profile players charging twitch subscriptions for access to in game addons.

Whilst i fully support his development of addons, routes and other related game content and would like to acknowledge the incredible time that goes into these tools, this particular act appears to go against sections 1,2, 4 and 5 of the addon development guidelines here: UI Add-On Development Policy

Whats the stance here? if this is allowed, where is the line drawn on paid access to ingame addons.

That looks less like an addon and more like an addon installer. However, Customer Support really isn’t able to state specifically if an addon may or may not run contrary to policy. There are any number of factors that we simply wouldn’t have insight into, such as the specifics of any addons or associated program.

If you believe you have encountered something that you believe runs contrary to our policies it would be best to email WoWUI@blizzard.com.

Thanks!
