That’s called bloatware.
Malware on the otherhand, it’s rootwords are Mal and ware, short for Malicious Software. Edge Browser is far from malicious, unwanted yes, but it’s not going to destroy your computer, data, or steal your financial data, etc, like real Malware does.
curse forge must use an API provided by blizzard, i thought?

Overwolf owns CurseForge and it’s API and they can do whatever they want with it. The addons CurseForge hosts use the Blizzard API to work in game and that’s Blizzards only involvement other breaking addons they don’t like.
