So i’m looking over the list and … i feel like this list could’ve been better optimized here, like some addons like hide talking heads aren’t needed since Leatrix Plus has that option, and a few others that can be done in either Weak Auras and/or Leatrix Plus.
Again, you do you. That’s what i would personally do if i were in your shoes. If you do well with 112 addons, then that’s good. I’m just curious, what exactly you need all of them for.
Oh yeah, there’s no denying that what Overwolf has done is pretty silly. The only thing sillier then that is to restrict manual downloading at this point. That’s pretty much a death sentence for them.
Considering Overwolf’s horrid rep and them wanting to slap this restriction onto addons… makes me want to use their service less, not more. Thankfully I have found a streamlined way to update addons for now, that is not Overwolf.
I have roughly 20 addons (most of which are just basic quality of life things Blizzard has not added yet) so finding a new addon updater was needed for me! Yes I used to do manual but that was when I had 5 addons.
You play the game how you want. You do not get to choose how someone else plays the game, let alone which addons they get to use. Opinions are like buttholes. Everyone has them.
I honestly never maintain much of my Weak Aura addons. Well i say addons very loosely, their just import strings that creates an addon ingame for you when you copy and paste it in.
Ehh, Fair enough i suppose.
I think it’s like a year ago or something, but yea, i was in the same place as you were in.
I seriously wish Blizzard just put in an option to hide dialogue boxes in the interface options already.
I have at least 1 character for every spec so I use premade weakauras that I adjust to suit my needs, usually just removing some stuff that I don’t need and making other things bigger or smaller and adding in some things that are missing.
And if you open a spec and sort by “stars” you’ll find the top weakaura setups are made by the same people. I tend to stick with those as they will update them as needed. If there’s a new tier set ability () or BiS azerite trait to track it’ll get added in and you can use the WeakAuras companion to keep them updated
all of this is just showing how deep the cancer is in gaming. overwolf micro$oft and others are out to screw gaming and gaming over.
support the good guys folks companies like sony, square and others who care about you the gamer. companies who don’t force spyware on us or microtransaction everything. companies who don’t put force politics in games and hear out those of us who care about vidya.
Well, that’ll never happen. I am a permanent fixture in wow and I’ll never leave. Also I’m told that FF doesn’t have addon support and there’s only really one thing people use (some combat logger) so it’s understandable why it could never happen lol.
Thats a big maybe. If it were affecting international trade relation status? perhaps. But as long as what they are doing doesn’t violate Israeli law (and those laws (Israel’s not their access laws) have pretty stiff punishments so getting caught crossing those lines might be a little rough on the clothes legally speaking) or endanger trade negotiations with one of Israel’s trade partners then meh they aren’t likely to come down on them.
Because it is something a person with very basic knowledge of web development can make in very little time. And because it is so simple, there are probably many alternatives already done. It is just a basic file system with an api.
