Overpopulation

Spinning laps around Swamp of Sorrows for 2 hours for half a stack of blindweed isn’t my idea of fun or value for my sub. Hard cap servers at 10k people, thats 4 times more than original. Servers have always felt perfectly fine and healthy on 5k pop servers in private. There is no benefit to the player with mega servers. More people does not mean easier to find groups it just means more bad players that have boosted and have no idea how to play. Honestly had to get an addon just for more ignore room.

This is the one good thing about Anniversary as an Era player. Most of the gold buyers and bots went there. Farming on Era is pretty great.

Era is a paradise. Anniversary was a paradise when MoP first launched. Now is a good time to go back to Era. I think Anniversary will be worth trying again after they release whatever the next classic project is (WoD, SoD2, Classic+, whatever).

Its because we need dynamic spawns instead of static. There are way too many players to accommodate such slow spawn rates. TBC is going to need 15+ more layers or we’ll be in the same situation.

Might have something to do with significantly less players on era.

I can’t even imagine how awful it’s going to be during TBC. I do predict a monsoon of complaints on the forums lol.

When Era start progressing through Vanilla -Wotlk I’ll go play Era, until then Era is trash.

the forums on launch week is prime content

Fixing changes with more changes. Slippery slope in action.

Yeah. It does. Bots go to where the population is and so do the gold buyers. Gold buyers don’t care about the long term, which is what Era is all about. They just want a quick fix.

I predict druids and huntards appearing out of thin air within 1 second of a terrocone spawning.

Then I guess go enjoy your spinning laps simulator lol.

I don’t know what happened, maybe everyone is off work for Christmas, or maybe people are just starting now to get ready for BC, but its becoming very difficult and time consuming to get any quest done. There’s just too many people. Every zone. Every quest. Every time of day.

this is my case

but i dont agree with this, even on nightslayer which has a much higher pop I haven’t found it difficult at all

currently sitting at just over 11 hours /played to level 20 as a freaking ret paladin which isn’t exactly known for its speed

maybe its a time of day thing, ive found most of my free time post christmas has been in the afternoons

It’s a double edged sword. The simple “kill 20 boars” quests suck. The harder quests become easier because its either pre-cleared or you can find a group easier to do elite ones.

Era has no layers, ans we have more players on our one layer than anniversary has per layer.

The anniversary server problem is bots are supplying for gold buying players.

A lot of people have come back for TBC classic. It’s going to get a lot worse in 2 weeks. This is the calm before the storm.

I wonder if it would do more harm than good to enable shared tags and dynamic spawns like in retail (multiple people can loot quest items and such)

That would be great but the classic Andys and gatekeeper types would cry an ocean of tears. They’ll never do it.

At least make this be the case in parties to encourage people to group up

Kinda silly to not do that

You post 2-3 times an hour on that level 10 so no one knows your main and every post is a complaint

It’s called a layer of protection from a toxic player base. Cry about it more because you can’t come grief me in game lol.
