More people per server means more customers for gold sellers and less alts they have to make.
Blizzard did it on purpose change my mind.

so that’s the only way to get crap across, everything he says is true
Megaservers are trash and the worst thing to happen to Classic.
Currently no quest mobs in Searing Gorge lol, ya no issues here
You aren’t going to be able to quest much until the tbc hype dies down. Honestly wait until March or so, it won’t take long to die.
People per payer doesn’t really matter in the end when people just layer swap. A herbalist can just stay in the same zone and layer swap and pick all the same herbs in the same zone on all the other layers too. I’ve gotten so many random invites from randoms on anniversary because they were trying to swap to my layer.
You haven’t gathered much have you…. the layer cap is too high at this point, all layers are flooded.
Your best bet to level until TBC will be to TRY and do quest at less busy hours and spam dungeons otherwise.
I took the decision to not going into TBC.
Which ERA server do you recommend? I don’t like GDKP’s at all and my main objective for now, is to complete T3 on my main, where i basically only need a few pieces from the two last bosses.
Hum maybe you didnt know but ERA = GDKPs now. If you dont like it dont go there.
I dont go ERA because im not interested paying 30K for BWL loot.
That’s a shame, i thought there was a couple of servers, where gdkp’s weren’t a big thing. Blizzard should ban it on at least one.
Now i’m stuck, without knowing what to do with my chars and the clock is ticking, until 12 jan…
Plenty of guilds having trouble filling raids and plenty of raids are 2sr. You will get a lot of items funneled straight to you on era. It’s progression raids you won’t run into very often.
Layers are cancer
Blizzard’s inability to adjust open world resources has been a problem since 2019. They aren’t going to do anything. Layers is their magic bean or something.
Layers are a placebo.
They need more servers.
Whitemane for PvP.
Mankrik for PvE.
Grobbulus (RPPvP) for a small raid focused community.
I can’t speak for every server and faction, but the majority of runs on Horde Whitemane are GDKP. <Not Prepared> and <Cult of Spunions> are the only guilds Horde side on Whitemane that run non-GDKP Naxx raids and the only MC and BWLs that I know of that are non-GDKP are run by <Don’t Buy Loot>. As far as I’m aware there are no regularly scheduled ZG, AQ20 or AQ40 runs that are not GDKP on Whitemane Horde side.
I believe Grobbulus is completely GDKP free but I don’t think there’s a transfer option from Anniversary. I think you’d have to start fresh there.
I’ve been playing between 1-4am server time (Dreamscythe) the past few weeks and it’s the same deal - impossible to finish any quests, tag any mobs, or farm any gathering materials. I don’t think the time of day helps much, especially once TBC gets here and the mad rush intensifies.
Dungeons are probably going to be the only way for the first few weeks at least.
Servers are fine.
Although, Hellfire Peninsula bottleneck will be legendary this time around.
This is the same for me. There needs to be at least 6-7 layers, not 3 to 4.
Holy– Which servers bruh? Gotta warn the group that thei— No, wait, it’s likely Guilds and Bots, nevermind.
