No offense, but take this as a lesson and never do what Blizzard tells you to in this instance. They have done this so many times over the years, overcompensating by creating too many servers and then “requesting” people to move, when in fact a majority probably don’t even care that there is a queue and would rather play on a well populated server that will stand the test of time rather than bypass a queue entirely for what will almost certainly be a dead server as soon as the new game smell wears off. You will be lucky for a merge anywhere in the near future in that case, or less lucky in that they make you pay to get off it.
My whole guild just transferred from Herod to Earthfury, and we couldn’t be happier. The Horde imbalance on Herod is now about 70/30 for the Horde. Earthfury has plenty of people now. It hit medium tonight, and will be in good shape for phase 2.
Blizzard totally messed up this launch though.
Assuming those people are there for the longterm and don’t eventually get bored and quit. It may work out, though.
It’s not underpopulated its just that its a life raft server for allies to come and grief horde in every way possible all because they’re salty about having to leave their server because of a ~10% imbalance. So now it’s almost 80-20 A/H on heartseeker. Its getting really annoying being ganked while I’m in a capital city while typing in chat by level 60’s to find people to run brd, then having to literally corpse drag myself into the instance because there’s 40 alliance camping the entrance, its every dungeon too, and its all day every day.
So you’re saying don’t transfer there?
kk transfering to heartseeker… i love being the underdog.
I looked up the population, it’s more or less even until the mid 30s and then it fluctuates a bit before going mostly alliance at level 60 http://wowpop.appspot.com/realms/heartseeker
If a few more level 60 guilds would xfer i think we’d end up with an amazing server for w pvp
you know what you sound like? the peole you say are complaining about 10% imbalance when really its probly just as bad as what you are experiencing
a Medium realm today already has more characters on it than even the most crowded realms did back in 2006.
It feels like the opposite, because of layering. /who says there are ~150 people in Stormwind, but only a dozen of them are actually visible in my layer. It’s a ghost town. In 2006 there were hundreds of people in a single layer of Ironforge, no problem.
Well when i was on stalagg i didn’t sit in front of mara or brd for hours with 10 others just to grief and corpse camp alliance players trying to simply run a dungeon. I didn’t see anyone else pulling that either. They came here to grief and that’s what they are doing because they can’t accept they rolled alliance knowing they’d be outnumbered. So no, I’m not a hypocrite and i don’t care about being outnumbered i care about the amount of alliance that xferred over for the sole purpose of griefing what used to be a small yet balanced server.
Make your choice on where to xfer, but if you do Heartseeker needs it 100%; however, you should know what you’re getting in to. I entreat any Horde considering a move to Heartseeker to follow the link to the thread from the quote below and read the posts there. In general, every Heartseeker thread has taken the same turn: this is Alliance owned.
So what you’re saying is that everyone say where the streamers were going and we all bailed to a place that we could all try and avoid that whole mess? Go figure.
Yeah, the balance on Faer is incomparable. But its not just me saying it, as can be seen below. It is an endemic issue on Heartseeker. To the point where many people are outright quiting rather than reroll. Everywhere I have gone for roughly 5-6 days on Heartseeker it is 10:1 A:H. Many people are saying the same it really sucks to play 3/4 hours and be dead from ganking over 80% of that time.
In relation to conditions on Heartseeker:
There are no regulations on which faction can xfer. Another 200+ alliance guild just xfered there based on another forum post. I check regularly on how we’re doing, and things haven’t improved. I’m being transparent about a real issue myself and many other Heartseeker/any imba server players are facing. Without doing so, we have no chance of Blizz implementing a mitigation plan. It is already a pure gankfest, P2 will be even more rough. Do you anticipate the rate of Horde xfers to Heartseeker to drastically overtake the rate of ally xfers to a point where it will improve playability? From the MC entrance to the BRD portal last night, I counted over 100 unique skeletons (not counting the 4-5 smaller skeles), with the new manner of your skeleton disappearing once you’ve returned to life, this indicates these individuals didn’t even bother re-spawning (I have the screenshots if you’d like to see). People should be provided as much data before making the decision to move their toons. This may be anecdotal, but I have spoken to many players experiencing this. When I discuss it in forums/World, I’ve only had 3 people with dissenting opinions. If you read any of the Heartseeker forum posts here, they have almost unanimously shifted to the following:
In reference to Alliance transfers to Heartseeker:
In reference to conditions on a similarly imba server, and source server for xfers:
tl;dr Heartseeker needs you Hordies. But I can’t in good conscience not ensure visibility as to what you should expect when you arrive. I was in the: thats solid, more HKs for me boat, until you realize it is always 10v1 everywhere you go. Blizzard needs to address this on their realms. I hope to cower with you in Orgim, maybe one day there will be enough of us to rise up and retake Durotar… at least.
LOL you mean you dont think horde camp dungeon entrances? thats probably the exact reason ally is doing it on your new server, because theyve had enough of being corpse camped and douched over all the time on servers like herod. funny how when ally complain about poor sportsmanship you guys call them babies… and tell them to “git gud”… well…
Git Gud you whiny baby
How do you know that?
As i had just said I never griefed anyone like that or watched others do it to this extent, maybe the allies there should be the bigger men and not spread the toxicity they dealt with to other servers now that they are in the advantageous position in faction pop. Not every horde is a toxic jerk that just wants to gank. I very rarely attacked anyone even when i had ten buddies around unless i was being ganked myself and needed to get some pvp aggression out. Most of the time i was content to let them farm in peace even when we had every opportunity to wipe them out. Now that they’ve established their toxicity towards horde through greifing what do you think will happen when A: pop evens back out or B: all horde just xfer or re roll til the only pvp alliance will get are from dueling. Its a viscous cycle becasuse people have to be salty and get revenge. The people camping dungeon entrances are wasting just as much our time as theirs, as there’s not even ranks yet. So I’m not sure why you’re calling me a baby when you clearly are the one slinging immature comments around.
its just my observation from retail servers but Ally seems more wpve oriented and horde is the more pvp/pve everything
Alliance doesn’t start nearly as many battles unless they get vengeful. at which point they do group up and start paying back 2-3 fold. so… if its about 3x as bad as you think your faction might have been then that seems about right.
atm there is no wpvp reward so on the classic pvp server im on everyone gets along unless fighting over quest mobs. or random 1 offs. have not seen any camping. least not in the 30 range. might be different at the higher levels or in areas where faction balance shifts.
Once your’e in you’re late 40’s and 50’s you’ll see dozens of players of whatever faction is dominant camping the entrances to all the dungeons you need to run for your pre bis. Its pretty rediculous because by the time you are inside most of your gear is busted or close so if you wipe once or twice you have to leave anyways and repeat the corpse drag.
Over 1000 posts.
Zero examples of imbalance, or how any imbalance has ruined an entire server.
Boogieman = realm imbalance this early
Wait until layers are removed, more people ate 60, and only if its a pvp server in phase 3…maybe 2.
