They didn’t charge for name reservation. They charged for a sub to retail. A perk that came with that sub was the possibility of reserving some names in Classic. That you chose to misperceive it as selling names, that is an error on you.
That’s what I meant. Thousands subbed early to reserve a name. You seem to be arguing semantics and missing my point entirely.
It did not work the new servers are full already
They are filling up as fast as added
Waite tell the doors open even moor servers will be needed and they will be full fast too
If a server lists as full, wouldn’t it be helpful if it says ‘sorry, you cannot create a character on this server at this time?’
Now Skeram is High Population, and you know majority of people are not going to renew their subs until Sunday or Monday like a few of my buddies. They need to add at least another 2-3 east coast PvP servers. This is also only with 3 Character reservations. They may need to even double the amount of servers.
As of right now there are 10 full, 3 high and 1 medium server. Adding 4 servers would not relieve the congestion of the players that have already subscribed, let alone those that are waiting until the game is actually playable. I think you need to at least double the current number of servers to make the game playable.
I would really like to play tomorrow, and the way it is looking right now it seems like it could be days or even weeks until the game is playable.
You and I have the same exact mindset with this lol. They’re gonna have to double the amount of servers for sure.
Even if they double or triple the servers, alot of people will not move from those listed as full because either they enjoy the names they were quick to grab or they are following streamers or that is where their guilds are based. But on a positive note there has been rumors and speculations that WoW Classic has increased the subscription rate to match or atleast come close to see the numbers that BC into WoLTK had.
Lock herod and faerlina blizz !!!
Lets get some more East Coast PvP servers bliz, if people have to wait too much they gonna ditch this game, dont mess this up now you guys have done a perfect job thus far.
I suppose you forgot about the Diablo 3’s launch, haven’t you?
Regardless, i do appericate for letting us now and hope you add in more realms, cause right now, it’s 4 normal realms, 8 PvP realms, and 1 RP and RPPVP realm. I understand this game is supposed to be for a Niche audience, but 10 out of 14 realms are full and the other 3 are well on their way.
any word on another oce pvp server? trying to take this advice and avoid high/full population servers, we only have 1 server to choose from though LOL
Blizzard needed to release those 4 new servers TODAY. Not Tomorrow. Every server is now High or Full pop except Blahmoo and that’s only because it’s a terrible name.
Now if Blizzard opened the final stress test to everyone (including those that are not subbed and treated it like a free trial) they probably would have got a more accurate number of how many people were returning to classic. Since they didn’t do that we now see all these high/full servers
Hey Blizz! As expected LOTS of people returning to Azeroth this weekend, probably many more tomorrow. How about fresh servers asap, including a new eastern RPPVP?
we gonna be fine guys, if the servers that release tomorrow don’t solve the congested servers, Omar stated that they have plenty of servers on stand by to meet the demand
at this point I am waiting to see how bad it is, if I log in tomorrow afternoon/evening I am hoping queues will be manageable. I will give it an honest try but if at the end of the week we are still seeing multiple-hour long queues, not having low/medium realms to roll on I will have to just chalk up classic to a failure. which I don’t want to see I want to play it but I won’t put up with hours long queues but some will. maybe I will unsub and come back in 6 months maybe not.
At this point my complaining just out of frustration because I fear there will be no low/medium realms (that don’t go to high/full) for us that would rather run there with no queues than a more populated realm.
I would rather see extensive queues for the first two to three weeks and know that the server pops will remain for some time, than short queues just to hop in quick. Remember that the first week will be a litmus test - blizzard doesn’t want ghost servers but I would be surprised if one more realm after today’s block didn’t exist as more people log in. Patience is a virtue here, my friend.
Or allow more people per realm?
Yet the servers still lag with 2 40man raids in the same area…
