Because you think they would remove the grind? We saw what happened before with AP being for “everyone”
Saw the same thing where a template system was used and skill was the determing factor (legion pvp) and it was hated by the majority.
Half because it took away the feeling of progression and half because it simply took longer than needed to kill people who lacked the skill to survive anyway
Like I said, it’d never happen. Just pointing out that it would effectively turn WoW into a skill-based game despite the cries from the “get gud” crowd.
Delves are not going to give myth track gear. They are not remotely difficult enough to warrant it.
It would simply kill participation, a lot of people play for the rewards and justify the the time they put into the game because of them. Templates in legion didn’t make the popularity of that content better and you’d believe pvpers would be the ones that would like this type of design the most.
I’m not advocating for it and it would never happen for the reasons you listed… again, just pointing out that the “get gud” argument over easier gearing is silly because everyone having the same ilevel would mean that your progression is 100% limited by skill and 0% by time to grind and/or luck.
Same reason doing the Mage Tower today mostly reflects a higher level of skill than doing it at the end of Legion when you could outgear it in Antorus gear. Or the MoP challenge mode runs.
while I, of course, want my gear to upgrade as I progress, i want the previous form of m0-9 back.
i want my m+ score to move along and not start at +10.
just.
don’t.
like.,
it.
Sure but I still wouldn’t say that current system doesn’t require skill else people would be completing content a lot more for me this is simply to catch people in something that doesn’t even make sense to propose. Getting gear in many ways also require skills but it does require also time.
Mage tower is also another issue, it lasted more than a raid tier, it probably shouldn’t if we wanted to keep it somewhat challenging but I guess it wasn’t the goal.
When content is casual people play more,
that is a simple fact (DF S3, S4).
All my proposal would increase subs.
Microsoft, please.
The simple fact is costs are up and retention is down and laying off the entire QA department to cut costs clearly isnt working.
So something somewhere has to change, they either need to find a way to keep casuals longer with something or cut costs somewhere else.
This wasnt some obscure hard to find bug, it literally says Dragonflight instead of War Within, its because NO one is doing quality control at all.
Its not about “trying harder” - you have never done any of the objectively hard content in this season or attempted it. You have no direct experience of what people find frustrating and yet you are all over these forums shaming people with your uninformed opinion because… I don’t know, you have nothing better to do?
it just kind of sad in a way.
What’s sad is you have 82 timed keys, and you’re only 100 io above me, and i’m at 27 timed keys. So if I haven’t done any of the “hard content” for the season, neither have you, which means you should see yourself out.
I’ve completed a +10 and attempted +11’s, have you?
Another thing - on the toon you are referring to (Grunwilda), it appears that you didn’t fail a NW jumping from 2 to 4 to 6 to 8, do you often leave keys if you won’t time? Seems to be the case.
You’ve got lucky 1 time you mean, seeing as you’ve failed 90% of your 10s
Nope, I never leave. Not sure what…
…has to do with anything. Didn’t fail a CoT going from 3 to 8 either, or Mists, or etc etc etc. The only one i’m struggling with is Ara-Kara because even in 8s range, it seems like people don’t understand the timing of last boss’s mechanics (I think i’ll get on and make a macro to spam before getting to that boss).
Only reason I don’t push as fast as I can to a 10 (it would really not be any problem to run my own key’s into the 9-10 range) is because I have OCD brain with keys and like to complete keys in a set range before moving. Which is why I’m still at 8s because of Ara-Kara. Would you like me to time some 10s this week? Would that make you feel better
Edit: if i consistently left keys, i wouldnt have any untimed keys logged away…
Honestly, if you want to know the experience of most of the people complaining you should create a dps toon and pug to your current IO - are you willing to do that?
I only strictly pug, and im not sure why being a DPS will enlighten me any. This is a group effort and affects everyone the same.
But sure. Once i hit KSH I’ll make a special DPS toon just for you. Its not going to change anything. All the same problems still exist.
You can’t understand why being an in demand spec would make finding a key to run easier?
And yes, I would LOVE if you would stop belitting people who are giving their opinions about difficulty until you actually understand their experience. It annoying and only meant to shame.
There are a lot of things that are the “front door” to Wow for new players - M+ is one. When you behave this way it 1) Pushes new players away and 2) Deincentives people from learning because you shame them for not being good enough. The game gets better when we get better.
Did you lose track of what the topic of this thread was all about?? Lol this isn’t a “i cant get a group as a DPS” thread.
Also, im not scared of running my own keys. Not going to hold me back lol thats your take? You think im suddenly going to suffer and not have the experience to talk about “hard content” as a DPS lololol.
I can buy you a pack of straws if you need. No need to over reach for them
Alright, humor me bud. New toon, none of your M+ friends to help you - all the way to 2400. To be fair it won’t be the same as it was at the beginning of the season - a lot of people have dropped out because they made things too punishing but you’ll at least see its not just people whining.
What part of:
do you not understand?
Not belitting them. Just telling them to get better instead of asking for handouts.
Yeah…WoW doesnt really have “new players”. M+ has been around for nearly a decade. So that follows the same trend: m+ isnt seeing new players either. Most people who are interested in it have already tried and made up their mind about it
Just for reference, heres my original post
That is in no way belitting anyone
