It’s a massive nerf in PvP because the tier set is close to useless
Outlaw has a massively huge skill gap. Those that can rock it, rock it so well it gets everyone nerfed.
The spec is overly dependent on luck and add-ons.
This is why I moved to Sin and let my poisons do my work.
Yes a lot of luck, RNG and addons usage.
I’m new, so take what I say with those grains of salt. It is frustrating seeing many other classes able to (seemingly) face-smash their keyboard and survive packs, whereas Rogue needs to play optimally to survive – which I totally understand is part of the class fantasy, right? But still… kinda sucks. My opinion: let Outlaw have the option of turning into a dodging tank spec using a riposte-dodge mechanic like the talent Riposte.
Depends on how you measure skill. Does it lie in knowing the class mechanics or keeping the APM at 80 until the boss drops in five-ish minutes?
I think people get burned out on the APM moreso than lacking the skill required.
Aaaaaaah another day another wave of fixes for other classes and specs not named rogue on mmo champion. Hate to see that.
I want the dev to explain to me why I should do less damage than a ret paladin. They beat me in single target and aoe, they bring a battle rez and buff off healing and the ability to tank and heal if needed. They can’t explain it.
I did normal yesterday and fiddled with sin. I don’t know how to play sin well. I parsed a 90/90. So 90 parse and 90 for ilvl. Pretty good pull. The ret pulled a 98/70. He beat me by 100k damage and for his ilvl he underperformed meaning that he could have done better. He had more downtime or screwed up a rotation somewhere. Where are the nerfs for that class because it’s over performing. That’s what people thought about outlaw, good damage over performing. I got to 3100 last expansion as an outlaw in season 3 and it hasn’t changed too much. I don’t even come near the damage as sin and I don’t know what the hell im doing there. Unjustified nerfs. They crushed the damage ! 4% to all abilities 8% to auto attacks 10% to dispatch. That nerf to dispatch unless I’m mistaken and I might be is also a nerf to crackshot as crackshot throws a dispatch. So it’s actually a14% nerf to outlaws main finisher outside of a stealth window and it’s a 14% nerf to crackshot inside the stealth window . They already nerfed crackshot previously. The 4 set should not make or break the class. It doesn’t for paladin. Make rogues great again. Make blizzard great again!
I’m mostly confused why increased melee range was gutted for Outlaw, the class that’s flat damage wise and relies on uptime, but for Ret they are still 20 yd for most of their damage. In addition, they have next to no variance in their kit and they got a buff to their mastery, while Outlaws has been so milquetoast forever and is horrid for a secondary outlet.
IDK why you keep talking about arcane… The top two (Heroic Logs) are Fury and Enhancement, not Fury and Arcane. I don’t know how long you’ve been playing WoW, but Outlaw is within 5% of everything but Fury, and Fury is just a hair higher than 5%. 5% has been basically Blizzards goal for ever.
This takes me way back to when Rouges basically were throwing a tantrum because they wanted an “I win” button. Everyone is crying someone other class is better, and everyone has a reason why they should be #1, well guess what, someone has to be #1 and there can only be one #1. You guys are being unreasonable to the point it sounds petulant. Of course the forums just is an open door for unreasonable people to complain and why devs stopped talking to players. Then you come here posting cherry picked logs and acting like it’s the hard cold facts. The real fact is outlaw is not being left in the dust at this time, outlaw is doing pretty well. While perception and self interest nstead of data is what’s driving negativity,
Mythic raids right now Outlaw does not look to be in the same place, but those logs are very few more or less anecdotal evidence. All depends on Ilvl and who got lucky drops. In a few weeks you may have something to say when it comes to scaling. Right now the data is thin and Blizzard is probably not going to make any drastic changes till world first is over.

This is because Outlaw doesn’t have a clearly defined identity anymore like Ret. Outlaw is all over the place and doesn’t excel in many things anymore when it was a M_ super star spec in BFA.
The issue is not that hybrid classes are pumping and pure dps classes are not. That’s Tom foolery
