Allow horde to transfer alliance?
Why not try giving alliance bonus honor to enocourage pvp?
Why not try giving alliance dual spec to encourage pvp participation?
Blizzard might be playing 4d chess with this though in wotlk.
The amount of money they’re going to make when WoTLK comes out is going to be astronomical, it’ll probably give near the amount if a new expansion drops.
Imagine they charge 60$ a faction transfer and then a lot of people will have to spend 25$ to server transfer.
Every DK, Warrior, warlock, mage, paladin and rogue will be using 2x pve trinkets. And blizzard will be giggling.
Go take a look at warmane’s wotlk ladder and tell me which faction you see as being the clear favorite.

Break premades so people on both sides aren’t queueing into getting rolled. Alliance have an awful win rate because there are far less queueing for them and those that are serious premade so their skill pool sucks leading to instaqueue loses regularly which further removes players who get tired of queueing into getting steamrolled.steamroller.
And if Blizzard really cared about the health of the game they’d just offer free faction transfers.

How about the change they already implemented? Seemed to work pretty well to me. Why list all these when they have already fixed it in a manner that doesn’t affect other players.

Lack of alliance in bgs is a symptom of lower faction population and lower faction pvp participation.

Why does it matter how many we have playing as long as Qs are fine for us and we can gear?
The game was designed to have 2 competing factions. There are servers called “pvp” servers, not sure if you have heard of them.

If Alliance needs everything listed in the original post, then they probably don’t belong on PvP servers. I would say the planned and expected fix by Blizzard cures the illness entirely by removing Alliance from the equation instead of constantly trying to give them treats like dog training until they PvP.

They could be making buckets by adding faction changes now.
Xfer horde → ally to farm honor gear then xfer back. Repeat each season

Typically “arena” refers to a setup fight between combantants, not a war. There is a faction war integral to the lore.
In WSG they are fighting over resources in the world.
Same with Basin with the forsaken defilers and the league of arathor.
There’s lore to AV between the factions as well

IF you want instant queues, roll an alliance alt, you would be helping to make the game better. You KNOW you have the time to do it.
You could actually CHALLENGE yourself by going into a PUG BG, instead of a premade loaded with ringers, you would be making the game better. Handicapping yourself helps improve your gameplay.
You could fly/ride by a lowbie on a pvp server without WTF pwning them, you want people to play against eventually…right?
The Developers later remarked as a mistake because it led to what we have today. ESports chasing and imbalanced factions.
Giving bonus XP to alliance levelers doesn’t sound like a bad idea. However I would be against bonus honor for them. If they can get twice the honor as Horde then they will be done with BG’s twice as fast. Then we are back in the same boat of trying to find something extra to promise Alliance to encourage them to participate. It will be a never ending cycle every single season.
queue times are more important. Literally no one cares about the lore when they are waiting an hour in queue

All I hear is the alliance wanting free stuff. Y’all don’t fight back. Just cry when you’re getting beaten. Sit in capitol cities and vent about horde ganking here or there but you never team up to fight back but you want free stuff lol.

100 points says you wouldn’t defend this if you didn’t get an advantage over horde for PvP gear!!
we’ve already seen what happens when one faction has the advantage thanks to retail. if the horde do not need the alliance in order to pvp then pvp minded people will all go horde because they have a bigger pool of players to choose from.
having a bigger pool of players to choose from will also lead pve alliance players to eventually swap over so that have easier times filling raids and dungeons, which will make guilds swap over and then everyone becomes a horde.
Bg queues are more important, if the alliance doesnt want to play then we need horde vs horde
