Other than convenience, what argument is there for RDF?

First of all I disagree with longevity statement, because this a re-release. There is a finite time when the Arthas will be released and WOLTK ends. This has no effect of DF as they are not related.

To answer your point, I am pally tank on Mankirk horde, one of the full servers. I logged in this morning at 4 AM when I am able to play and could not get a group of UK, Nexus.

I saw 10 lfg but no healers. I stayed on the toon for 20 minutes and then logged out. I want to level to 80 and be available to tank for myself and others but I cant get a group when I play.

I also have a lock at 74 who needs some dungeon quests completed, havent had much luck getting groups this week.

The initial 1st week rush has died down, its the slow pace , I dont mind that but not being able to do content is not good. I would LOVE RDF to just queue and get to do dungeon whenever I can play.

Pretty simple one really.

It’s was in wrath.
Implement it with ICC
GG done

You know what all these topics should stop because right now blizzard is collecting data of the finder system that is in game right now.

If that data shows that its widely successful u can kiss rdf goodbye permanately. If the data shows it not being successful then they will put rdf in the game.

If you like RDF, use it - if you don’t like it, don’t use it, seems pretty simple to me.
Like Retail, they could implement the manual group finder tool as well, so you can make your own group too! All seems so very simple.
But I believe that the individuals adamantly against it will say no that too, because that’s their nature.

I would buy that argument if their track record showed it. I am critical of Blizzard’s past. J Allen Brack’s “you think you do, but you don’t” mentality is what bothers me.

Every turn blizzard has only one thing in mind, logged hours. Especially with DF releasing they want most people to stay logged in. The only way to do that is to force people to wait for content.

It’s hard to have a conversation with you clowns
when you start using fallacies like that. A very idiotic one at that. You guys have a real hard on if someone posts on a retail character and immediately don’t want to hear their opinion. It’s just a photo like any other forum. Get off it.

On top of the claims he has made with no source to back up those claims?

Premise:
Convenience seems to be the only argument in favor of RDF.

Burden of proof on OP.

Proof provided: the forum.

Debatants:
OP. Goal: Premise defense.
Pro RDF crowd. Goal: Rebate OP’s premise.

As with any debate, engaging means accepting the premise as valid.

OP won the debate due to the Pro RDF crowd being unable to counter the proof he provided with either proof or argument.

By all debate rules, yes, he won.

  1. Reduce the load on mega-servers. People may be more willing to transfer if it will not lead to not being able to find groups.

  2. Helps out smaller servers.

  3. Helps out anyone leveling an alt (or a new character) in pre-WotLK content.

  4. It’s baby content, who cares.

That’s the one that gets me the most honestly, the absolute obsession with N/H dungeons.

You can easily look up the quotes from the original developers around RDF and the health of the game. Many of the devs themselves have explained that if they could do it over again, they wouldn’t have put RDF / LFR into the game for the very reason we are arguing against it.

Availability.

Right now, Wrath literally launched, everyone’s levelling up in Northrend and doing Heroics to gear up in prep for Naxx.

It’ll happen like TBC all over again, once nobody needs to bother with heroics, (or even just normal dungeons) you’ll have to “tip” tanks and healers to bother showing up because they won’t otherwise.

A bigger pool of players to do things with is always good, why do you think everyone goes to the Megaservers?

If you wan’t RDF, go back to retail. If you don’t want it, play classic. Seems pretty simple to me.

Broken record.

Original wrath had it. Why is it that Vanilla classic andies got what they wanted, TBC get what they wanted. But when it’s wrath players turn to get what they want they get told to “go back to retail”?

I mean we’re talking about opinion here so  yeah?

Original wrath didn’t, later patch wrath did after ICC. When you don’t have it then you can resume your ineffectual qqing.

We have a lot of things currently that are only added in at the end of wrath. We have last patch balance, queue and teleport to BG anywhere, among other things.

But I guess I should just stop feeding the troll.

RDF would benefit you, seeing as you’re Horde on Benediction, but that wouldn’t fit your narrative.

Original WotLK had RDF.
