Except your time and effort isnt enough to give you mythic gear. Im sorry but it isnt. You have access to every single part of the game as every other player, you just CHOOSE to not partake in every aspect. You not being able to give more than 5 hours a week to WoW isnt blizzards fault, its yours. You are choosing to prioritize other aspects of your life over the game, which is good or bad for you, I cant judge. But the people that either make time to play more, or dont have the same situation as you are able to prioritize WoW more, which is why they are able to raid heroic or mythic. Im sorry but you cant get the best of both worlds, its insane that you are even asking for that.
5 hours a week… Be honest, you were probably playing 7+ hours a day at release.
They should have /played on every persons post to show how ridiculous of a timesink this game really is.
And whats insane is that sort of played time is even catered to to begin with. It should be friggen illegal. Its insanely unhealthy. They should force people out of the game after more than 4-5 hours a day.
Your classic guild?
I mean, is this your argument for why you dont have what I do? Because its a weak one at best if so. My play time is irrelevant to the situation. Im not asking for gear beyond my means. If people want better gear they should just…play…more. If they choose not to, then they dont get what they want in that current tier. Its plain and simple.
I wish I could upvote this post 100 times.
Getting items from just existing has never been easier. The covenant armor is very good, so good it’ll let you skip right to doing m+ 10 if you know the dungeons already. It’s enough to make tgast a cake walk. It’s far more than enough to do world quests in, even the elite ones, without much of a challenge.
I have 2 alts wearing it. It’s never been easier to get geared without stepping into a single dungeon, raid, or pvp encounter. Use the 197 boost to start exploring other content. Try to earn the ilvl you desire, it really isn’t that hard and it’s far more rewarding if you earn it rather than being handed items.
That’s a different thing, they care if THEY are forced to run LFR, normal and heroic raids to gear up for mythic. That was primarily due to how insane titanforged was so That’s no longer a thing.
I like how people are asking for proof that something my wasn’t said lol, which it’s hard to prove something didn’t happen. Of course when I ask the counter, “show me a quote about them complaining,” then I get ignored.
read this on another post and it deserves to be reposted here.
The game was once where everyone started out as nothing, striving to do heroic things.
Now everyone is a hero doing nothing.
I miss being a no one in WoW. It gets exhausting being “The Maw Walker” or whatever silly titles I’ve achieved over the years.
The entire game is subjective. It’s an mmo that was built on effort and I measure effort with determination, coordination, knowledge and time. I can measure content by how many people it takes, how long it takes and how hard it is to complete. If pet battles had mythic raid rewards and you could do it solo, with significantly less effort (my definition above), I would have the same issues. If you want to moon fire something down mindlessly because it’s fun for you and you want the same rewards as someone who meets with 20 people weekly, we are just going to disagree. Please correct me if I’m won’t but it sounds like you’re saying if I don’t find that fun I won’t put in the effort to get the reward but I do find this fun and if I do it then I want what that other content rewards. That’s what I gathered from the OPs post.
Yeah, it used to make sense asking me to run ingredients to your friendly neighborhood baker and kill 8 wolves for pelt.
Now that I’ve conquered old gods and titans it’s really really a stretch to imagine that being a reasonable request… yet here we are
That would intimate NOT equitable education. So, it depends.
To be quite frank whether it’s high school or college a diploma is not always equal to another diploma
Right. So in the context of the conversation, doing progressively harder group content is not the same as doing the same easy WQ/heroics/LFR over and over.
But his point is that they are doing different things. The earlier posts referred to college as maybe raids and M+, and non-college as WQs or PVP or whatever else. I think his point is that as long as people are playing the game their way, they should have a chance at better loot so that they can handle bigger and stronger challenges their way.
No, the championship ring would be cutting edge, or an mdi prize.
But you can certainly work for longer than the professionals to buy and use the same Jersey, ball and shoes they wear.
Based on their salary, they’ll be able to buy it in a fraction of the amount of time most people would be able to.
This is a proper analogy
Your analogy is flawed.
Say you make 10 times more than your neighbor. You’ll be able to get a Tesla long before they do - but they can still grind out, over a longer period of time, the money for the same Tesla
No one is asking for a lottery ticket that just gives them gear - they’re asking for the lower paying job to grind out to the same reward over a long time.
Why is item level the only answer? Why not buffs to covenant set bonuses instead?
They get paid for doing something useful for society; thats how that compensation works. To make the equivalent comparison you’d have to be talking Mythic Raids and Heroic raids, and the guy in Heroic got all the drops and has an ilvl above the mythic raider.
Says the guy who clearly didn’t read the part where I said I don’t raid.
This is the standard response and its nonsense.
