run 2 m+ a day, get 220 ilv. Dont be bad, be a causal.
TR but instead of from items make it given out at varying amounts based on the difficulty of completing the content. WQs give way less than doing super high level Torghast. Give it out from almost everything. Also give it out from M+, arena and raids. Remove the rng and make it more predictable how you get loot.
I doubt it will happen because it’s counter to blizzards business but that’s my wish list of changes about loot.
While I agree that us casuals should have ways to improve our characters other than raiding and that syphilitic garbage that is m+, I don’t think we should be getting gear on par with those that are constantly running m+ or raiding.
There should be a plateau we can aim for, perhaps just below heroic level raid gear, and no higher, unless we want to try more ‘challenging’ content.
Semper Fi!
Same old excuse “bUt I hAvE wOrK”.
They’ll never give casuals same lvl gear as those who put effort in. When the best gear comes with no effect and is given to everyone there would be no reason for people to play harder content and people would play a whole lot less because of it. Something blizzard doesn’t want.
I hear what you are saying, but effort is subjective imo. For some players, it takes a lot of effort to participate in activities they don’t enjoy no matter what the reward is. Pet battles could have the best rewards, and it would take a lot of effort for many players to keep playing, for example. But for players who enjoy pet battles, it would be a breeze.
How do you measure effort? Time? Stress? Skill? Dedication?
I feel like, in their minds, M+ was a better system than valor for raiders. It gives gear relative to the effort… or it did. The weekly cache system and the lower ilvl from the dungeons themselves kinda messed that up, and it certainly created a void in the feeling of having a more casual avenue to gear progression outside of raid, if you don’t like M+. The people that got screwed over the most for sure were non-raiders themselves, who just liked casually grinding dungeons.
But as I stated before, I don’t think gear is what people necessarily want from casual play, it’s just that gear is the only real reward structure the game has. I think what WoW needs isn’t just more ways to get gear, it needs more stuff to work on that isn’t gear, and it needs to be interesting and/or lasting.
Mounts are neat but we’re already getting so many of them we don’t use, so those are picky. Xmog is neat but they can’t seem to create enough new xmog that is sought after. Pets still cap at 25 and that system is getting dusty now. We need some new casual content to focus on that feels like it has a system of progression.
I can agree about the mounts for sure, I have my Midnight (both versions) so I won’t switch. Even when I got the mount from Yogg 0 I never once used it, too clunky. And mogs I’m set with too. And yes pet battles are just in a holding pattern
Except its not though. Im starting to think you’re just here trolling people.
You cant even make this comparison…at all. Please dont try, it makes it look like you are just trolling. You absolutely need 226 gear to kill mythic sire. None of the world first guilds killed him without 226 gear. Does that mean they averaged 226 item level? No. But they had enough 226 BOE’s or 233 PVP weapons. There are dps checks to make. Nobody including blizzard really cares what kind of gear you have while clearing old raids, and if that is your arguement to get mythic raid, let me just say it again for you. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
Feeling special is a huge factor.
Who buys a game, doesnt like how much time you have to sink into it, and then demands its creators make seperate new content just to appease YOU so that you feel fulfilled doing none of the activities they designed for the player to do in the first place. Doesnt this sound absurd?
If you are playing the game so little that you cant be 220 in like 6 months, why are you paying to play this game? You could do that playing 30 mins a day. Again its not the game at this point, its just the player being freaking lazy. Stop being lazy. Just stop.
If I can’t have a piece of Mythic loot mailed to me every week, I’m not sure this game is for me anymore.
Blizzard, don’t lose a customer.
For those asking for mythic raid level gear for only doing WQs, I’m going to drop a truth bomb on you.
What’s equal is not always fair and what’s fair is not always equal.
I could give a crap less about you having equal gear, I prefer having a fair system.
I do WQs and all the other casual content as well raid and M+. If you got the same level of gear I have just from doing WQs, would it be equal? Yes, yes it would be equal. Would it be fair though? No, no it would not. Not only do I put in the same amount of work you do into the game, I put in additional work on top of that.
Most of them average 177-189 ilvl at the time of the kill, most likely they farmed heroic dungeons to get 171 in every slot plus whatever they got from mythic 0 and normal raids so even one 226 would have out ty run above 177. Again you’re way above that so no you don’t need any more gear than you have right now. I mean you do if you can’t do mechanics properly and maximize your rotation but again that can be said about some people trying to clear old raids too.
I also enjoy you saying what will and won’t happen like you have any insight or control.
what? the WF guilds did not average 177-189 when they killed mythic sire… Limit was 220 average when they killed it before anyone else.
This is always such a interesting argument to me because the answer is , I have done more group content, and more difficult group content hence I deserve the better gear. Which I don’t disagree with, but it is also like saying I did less enjoyable content, and as such I should get rewarded for having to do that less enjoyable content.
A little due diligence wouldve prevented this embarrassment. Own it. Somehow 220 raid Item level average is = to 179.

Not according to raider io, where did you get your numbers?
