Is there a forum page / website / some other place I can go study what the most important abilities of various other classes are that I need to be on the lookout for in PVP arenas? I’m new to PVP, obviously 
I know my own class well and a few others (e.g., rogue which I see all the time) but others not at all (e.g., monk). What’s the best way to learn their major CDs and counter them other than just brute play time?
Honestly just duel people. Ask them what their cooldowns are and practice using different abilities during those cds to figure out which feels the best. Don’t duel to win just try to learn from them.
wowhead has them all but the info ur looking for is cumbersome to find you’ll have like 50 tabs open. I just made a trial toon of every class and read thru all their spellbooks when i started taking pvp “seriously” in bfa

I am sure I am missing quite a few, but that is a general list of things I watch out for.
There are weakauras out there that signal when nasty things are happening. It won’t tell you how to respond but it will give you a larger audio cue, like an air horn when combust gets popped.
Or there’s always lossa if that even still works, it’s not something I’d recommend using always but when you’re learning it might be helpful.
Honestly on top of knowing when some classes pop certain cooldowns, I also use one that tells me when their cooldowns are coming off cooldown. Ok toll and wings are both up, we about to get slapped.
I recommend downloading omnibar and reading all of them
Other than mindgames for priest that’s a very good list for a beginning person.

I actually dont have void eruption because 90% of the time I am training a shadow priest unless their partner is a warlock.

I wish the creators of omnibar took it one step further… when you hover your mouse over the icon it should tell you what spell was used. As it stands, omnibar is frustrating to use unless you learn every icon from every class. Takes a lot of time.
you can, yeah i didn’t know this at first either. Keep omnibar unlocked, thank me later
it’ll show “omnibar” in blackbox but you can read each spell as they’re used. Learned everything really fast from this just 1v1ing every class i could find in wpvp

It would be awesome if someone more knowledgeable could start a CD of the day thread. Posting the an information of each CD (Including) Icon each day. But I’m also trying to figure this out, as its a huge part of getting better.

Now I just need to wait for next season to start because I jumped into this expansion late. Just got my feral druid into 185 or so level PvE gear. Not even going to attempt PvP unless there are some serious catch up mechanics or the spread of gear from honor to the best conquest is reduced a bit.
