How long do you think before blizzard adds the original werebear back ??
How many subs would blizz have to lose for this to happen ?

They should bring back the original skins imo. Who does it harm? No one. I used to think they should be exclusive but then I asked myself why and I couldn’t come up with a good reason.

Ppl want this game to thrive? Don’t take away amazing bear/kitty forms from original mage tower.

Blizz has brought things back before that they said they wouldn’t.

Who are they catering to?

Most kind, normal ppl would be okay with them coming back.

They need to make new content based on the mage tower design.
Either new bosses or another mage tower like system.

I never understood Blizzards ability to have a good idea and then completely abandon it instead of building on it.

as someone who got the original Druid skins, i dont see a problem with letting new people get them in some way or another.

Yup. I’ve had the skins for years. I’d be so, so sad as a new player, that’s interested in a Druid, to find out that those gorgeous skins are gone forever for some lame reason.

Other people: “It’s gone! Blizzard PROMISED it would never return!”

fast forward three years

People: “Wooohoo Mage Tower came back after all! Excellent! How about making it permanent?”

Other people: “Mage Tower will only return for Legion Timewalking! Blizzard PROMISED that!”

three months later

People: “Permanent Mage Tower!? Nice! How about bringing back the original skins back too?”

Other people: “They’re gone! Blizzard promised those would never return!”

I guess if you want to change what people actually said to try and make yourself look edgy on the forums, sure. Otherwise, your entire post is garbage.

I like the idea of limited time stuff for ppl that played at that time. It keeps things unique across the game. Naxx 40 was the original occurrence of this type of stuff (corrupted ashbringer too). Seein that stuff makes me go ‘oh damn’ theres an og

I do believe they should add new things every xpac so everyone can have some cool stuff. Or do small compromises like bring back a different version of the original item (fel bear)

But overall i think it keeps some uniqueness across the player base. Aside from blizz saying its limited time

Opening the forms up is a slippery slope. Like the core hound mount you cant get or the deathwing mount or pvp sets. I missed the legion monk pvp set by like 50 rating which was painful. they do it for one they should do it for all

Years from now, and only if there is a management and development philosophy change that doesn’t think FOMO for the few is an incentive for those who have no access to those things to play.

First, no one ever argued about the Mage Tower coming back. Every post that discussed it was about bring back the rewards, the tower was just the vessel for those rewards. Second, the discussion was also not about whether they would, it was always about if they should. Every discussion is about people wanting the rewards or not.

Notice that they didn’t bring back the rewards, they changed them. Personally, I think the original rewards should stay gone. Create new rewards but leave those who did the challenges keep them. People had well over a year to get them when they were out.

You got a hardcore raider developing the game of course you’re never going to get that skin. right now in another thread, someone has asked for the original werebear skin and some supporter of limited elitist exclusive content is laying out a detailed reason why your NOT going to get that skin. they know the guy in charge thinks like them.

Maybe they thought Torghast was that?

But I agree, rather than just roll out the same content with a few rather uninteresting mogs, why not create a similar new one for each expansion and create new skins. For example, for feral they could offer one of the Saberon skins from one set in WoD. There are lots of possibilities, if they had the imagination to do it.

lol No idea why you think sub count has anything to do with it. They’ve had time-exclusive cosmetic rewards in this game since at least MoP with the challenge sets and elite PvP transmogs (whenever those started being a thing).

Oh yes, I understand that people have been saying that. I mean, heck, you said it in this very thread; but is it true? Has blizzard actually Promised these things?

Truthfully I don’t know. Never thought too much about them either way. If I had to pick one or the other iʻd say sure, let the people try for them again if they want to.

They’re not going to. They’ve already said they will respect player time investment and accomplishment. Original werebear isn’t gonna come back. Nor should it.
