To be fair, they pavemented the Draenei under orders from the Eredar.
And since the Draenei accepted the Eredar into their society, it was essentially a retroactively self inflicted wound lol

Lol this is a legit lore reason. Gazlowe asked twice to put more modern things in the city but thrall said no because it is penitence for what the orcs did to Azeroth, let alone their own home world.

Azshara had Azuregos as a prominent World Boss when Orgrimmar was being built; Durotar had boars. While I wouldn’t mind seeing Orcs being farmed by a big blue dragon, it probably was best to avoid the risk.

Joke is on them, life skills are easy and everybody knows them, but calculus is the basis of modern technology and it could bring about the Orc Computer age where everybody subscribes to Only Clans.
