Options to the Void Elf "Entropic Embrace" racial effects

That’s fair, I guess.

If I was OP and didn’t care about including the dwarf racials, I might have made a dedicated thread for just the Void Elves, too.

Sara just wants to spam instead of keeping it all to one thread.

I do not think Entropic Embrace should be a toggle or should be at all removable, by any means. It is integral to the Ren’dorei High Elf identity and should remain a mandatory feature of that High Elf subgroup.

However… it looks cheaply done. Like the character was dipped in thick blue paint, rather than a magical effect.

Its appearance should be changed to something more in keeping with nature of the void. Perhaps some translucent tentacles that wreath the character when it is active, but otherwise the character’s appearance is unchanged.

There is 0 instances or mentions of quel’dorei, or high elves in in there.

You’re applying logic where there is no facts. The fact of the matter is blizzard has NOT officially stated that these are high elf skins and again, until they say otherwise, they are additional void elf options to me.

You’re wrong and I think this does require explanation on Blizzard’s part. If they come out and say that:

“YES. THESE ARE OFFICIAL HIGH ELF SKINS”

I would totally admit i’m wrong and move on with my life but I doubt the high elf camp would be that gracious.

The point is people are making up their own narrative, own stories and we know nothing right now other than differrent skin tones and blue eyes. Everything else being said right now is just plain rumors/lies or fabrications.

I think you need to read that thread then read this thread, and tell me there talking about exactly the same thing.

I am requesting for an option to disable the effects of a racial. Not requesting for a racial to be different.

You’re asking for the racial to be changed to be more High Elf friendly which is the same goal as that other thread. It’s spam Sara.

Well, if you think this is spam, good job at contributing to it.

I am not talking about completely changing racials around. I am talking about an effect of a specific racial.

Blizzard doesn’t have to mention the Quel’dorei specifically. If players want to RP as a Quel’dorei, they can. The metric you’ve decided is the proof you need doesn’t matter.

They don’t need to be official. They just need to look like Quel’dorei.

I’m citing lore and developers.

I guess you know Sara better than I do. If I saw another thread that didn’t lay out the argument the way I would have, I’d still present my own post.

Responding to replies is not Spam.

He says play what you want and i’m totally fine with people RP’ing. RP to your hearts content but you’re still not giving me ANY hard evidence that high elves will be playable. The article even states that void elves are getting BLOOD ELF SKIN TONES.

If these were official high elf skin tones, don’t you think blizzard would have said as much, in their official post?

Oh right I guess they don’t because it’s “obvious”?

You know what happened to the last person that said this?

Could the customisations have anything to do with the High Elf Wayfarers and Blood Elf Scholars that we see?

Why do they need to? I don’t understand your perspective. Why does it matter to you that they have to say Quel’dorei specifically in order for players to treat them that way?

What actually changes? The Quel’dorei and Wildhammer Dwarves are members of the Alliance, and not being their own separate races from the Void Elves or base Dwarf doesn’t change any of that. Why does it need to be official?

It needs to be official because until then people keep making things up and drawing their own conclusions. It would be nice if blizzard gave us an answer.

What are people making up? Saying that Quel’dorei are in the Alliance is not wrong.

And you’re not wrong, but saying that they are playable IS wrong because nobody knows if they are or aren’t yet.

So, then how about you tell the Anti’s that High Elves are not playable then?

It doesn’t matter anyway. Who cares?

Quel’dorei are going to be playable. Wildhammer Dwarves and Forest Trolls are going to be playable.

When I say ‘playable’, I mean ‘you can play a character that looks like it’. If by ‘playable’ you mean ‘is its own separate race’, then obviously that’s not the case. Whether you care about that is up to you.

Well but that’s not a priority of any kind for Blizzard. In fact, they like it when players passionately disagree because it drives player engagement on both sides.
