No part of it is overturned. It’s week 1, it’s suppose to be difficult until you get better gear. Then it gets easier. That’s progression
See, my problem with this mentality is that it implies you’re not supposed to be able to beat it until you out-gear the rewards. This completely defeats the point. If it’s that difficult that you need to out-gear the rewards in order to clear it, it’s overtuned. SImple as that.
Plenty of people did beat it though. It’s very doable, you just can’t put muscle it yet. You have to do mechanics well or you won’t succeed. Then as you get gear it gets easier. I actually enjoyed it requiring some thought
It’s not even mechanics that was blocking my party though. Even when we did all the mechanics right, we simply got overpowered by sheer damage numbers coming out, or RNG on where the Walkie Shockies spawned and left their accursed static trail.
Go back and look at your post history.
You drop the phrase, “slapped in the face” in just about every post in which you are outraged. You are outraged in just about all your posts.
Not only do you NOT avoid using, “slapped in the face”, honestly it is your trademark.
The way you come off, drama dripping from your every word, it is impossible to take you seriously.
It’s tuned as a Mythic +7 or Mythic +8. It’s meant to be a challenge and if you want a larger challenge trigger its Hard Mode mechanics (Yes it has Ulduar Style Hard Mode!)
For most people it is way undertuned and probably needs to be adjusted a bit more difficult. But its not a raid so I can see why its where it is now.
It was a difficult dungeon, but figuring the fights out and strategising by using voice chat with strangers was probably the most fun I’ve had with this game for awhile. The feeling when we executed something cleanly was great.
We ran it over the weekend 4 bosses Friday, 4 on Sunday The instance is amazing, the difficulty is great and already looking forward to M+ runs in here when it comes out.
Yes we wiped once on each of the first 4 bosses. Trash once and then on the dog boss a few times until we realized how fast the next crate comes down after his fireblast.
All our group was around 410-415 item level which is what blizzard stated it was tuned to. Our tank was the least geared at like like 403 item lvl.
I don’t anticipate wiping to any bosses again the next run we do.
I think the biggest issue with this instance is how people are so used to steam rolling runs, messing up mechanics and not having to worry. You actually have to play the mechanics in this one and its great.
Some advice, gear up a little more, watch some guides on how to handle the mechanics and get out of the steam roll mind set. Don’t let the Mythic 0 label fool you into thinking its just as easy as other ones.
ya kujo was fun
we wiped as we didnt realize if his jump was too close to a crate it would PRE WEAKEN the crate, which would then BREAK and wipe us during mechanic phase
fun learning curve haha
I haven’t done pve since wotlk and I made a mechagon group last night. We killed the first couple of bosses on the second or third try with 4/5 of the group being there the first time. The 1st pull was to see the mechanics more than anything.
We were moving fairly slowly, though, and after we wiped on gunker on the second attempt the group sort of fell apart (it was pretty late on a Sunday night with people working the next day) but that encounter doesn’t seem difficult either.
As people get more familiar with it people will have it on farm pretty quickly. I’m just there because I need the essence so it’s whatever.
Just because your skill level, or gear is not up to the challenge, DOES NOT make this instance “overtuned”. Three things you can do, 1 get gear from other sources, there are tons, 2 learn and execute mechanics of dungeons better, and 3 slow down and don’t try to steamroll the place. These will help you complete this instance. You are welcome.
For me, it really wasn’t that bad. My friend and I pugged it. The only boss that was really challenging for us was KU-J0 because we were trying to figure out why a cube wasn’t dropping every time. Other than that we enjoyed it. It can be time consuming though.
We had the same issue, we found that a block was dropped almost directly into another, that’s why we couldn’t see it.
not overtuned at all, i cleared it the first day the dungeon opened… was simple and easy if you bother to learn the mechanics of the first couple of bosses. after that it’s a complete snorefest.
Is this true?
I am assuming you didn’t do Kara in Legion when it first launched either, did ya? Because the difficulty is very comparable. Its a mega dungeon Rastlin, come on.
The dungeon was pretty easy if you actually pay attention to and actually do the mechanics.
Then again, it somehow takes you 7 hours to do Nazjatar and Mechagon dailies… so… It might just be out of your skill range in general I suppose. /shrug
for reference – 7 Hours to finish the dailies!
I one shot almost every boss, idk if you’re serious or trolling, but the mechanics of the bosses aren’t even hard for the average competent player. You sound like one of those spoonfed players who loves lfr and thinks every fight should be patchwerk or you get upset and die.
There may be specific things here and there that are overtuned depending on your composition, but the dungeon overall is just very punishing and on purposefully done so. I wonder if the boxes stacking nearly right on top of each other isn’t a bug though for KUJO. You’d think they’d be dropped more around the room.
Our group completed it on two separate nights and it was about a couple hours each half. We did the fights mostly blind as is how we tend to run things. We only go to guides and the journal when we’re done troubleshooting on our own.
Our comp was prot pally, ret pally(me), unholy DK, WW monk, and Holy priest. The monk and prot pally are our two tanks for the raid, so sometimes they switched off tanking and DPS for the run. We were able to get through it. The most time consuming bit was the very beginning because the kill bot was circling the first boss and we were trying to figure out how to disable it or deal with it. We finally just looked it up. Turns out that’s just hard mode and he moved with each defeated boss. lol
Some of the trash can be very punishing IF YOU DONT USE CC. With CC it’s pretty easy, though those pairs of bots before the King did some pretty brutal aoes…
I don’t know why people say redundant things like this. Of course something is easy if you do everything right. lol
As with any new dungeons, wipes are most prevalent during the first week, or even just someones first run.
I ran it twice this week on this character, the first time was fine but still wiped to the bosses because we didnt know the exact mechanics. Did it a second time with friends, we stilled wiped because it was their first time but the mechanics were smoother because me and others already knew the dungeon
Its not overtuned, its just people have been learning it.
