Opening Mail is slow

I noticed since Pre-Patch went live that opening mail now takes forever. I used to click “Open All” and it would fly through transferring all the mail to my bags. Now it takes almost a full minute to open everything. Alternatively, if I used to open just a page at a time by Shift Clicking the items, I could fly through a page. Now I have to shift click, wait for the mail to open, transfer item to bag, close and delete mail before I can shift click the next item or it doesnt work.

Edit: NOT addon related, all addons were disabled and tested.

Have you tried turning it on and off again?

Alternatively, shift clicking

Works fine for me.

Maybe turn all your addons off and see if one of them is causing it?

Addons are all off, same behavior

Rename your WTF, Cache, and Interface folders then restart the game, see if that helps.

Like “WTFOLD” etc. So you can delete the new ones and change the names back if that doesn’t help.

Did you lose any addons? Maybe you had one that sped up the process? I am able to open all and clear 100 mail in well under a minute.

Don’t forget to close the bnet launcher. I was shocked when I realized how much it helps.

It’s PAINFULLY slow. Kinda similar to how the AH is slow and they at least mentioned that issue. What is up with the TBC servers? Way less smooth experience overall than classic was.

It also flashes “internal mail data error” and doesn’t play the coin kaching sound when opening successful auctions. What am I even living for without the kaching sound!?
