Its time to open Grobbulus and other locked servers for Transfers. My account was hacked and my main was sent to another dying realm and an alt sent to benediction (I may be the only horde on there). Have sent multiple tickets asking to pay to move those 2 characters back with my guild and friends, but Blizzard just doesnt care. Grobbulus is at 18K players while other mega realms are at 22K+, so they definitely can accommodate a transfer window, even if its for a short time.

We’d rather not have a bunch of horde come here and upset the balance. Keep grobb locked

its 52/48 right now. Even if the amount that comes over are all horde, at most it goes to 55/45, and thats with 500+ coming over and everyone rolling horde. I know plenty of ally players that would move as well to keep the balance

For the record, im talking about paid transfers. I know my case is not common (account hacked) but allowing paid transfers would allow only those who truly want to move to come over without upsetting the balance. Best of both worlds
I recommend against grobbulus, to avoid the reputational damage. They have a certain association. Lets put it this way… when i see a bunch of grobb players on my BG team i already know its a loss. Most of us have learned to /afk out of the BG if there are more than 2 grobb players in the starting room.

It won’t happen, these server/que problems happened specifically because people didn’t care about server/faction balance. except grobbulus.
I’m not sure how or when you were hacked or sent to benediction but from my understanding, that serv has also been closed to xfers for a long time
Your best solution is to roll an alt or create a new account for a boost if bliz won’t accommodate your specific issue which sounds strange to begin with
Yeah, but unforunately my guild, friends etc are there, as is most of my other characters that werent transferred off during the hack
Coming from glorified pve server andies, this doesn’t mean much and sounds more like projecting/cope than anything

I can only speak from an alliance perspective, it could be different on Horde.
Blizzard has confirmed to be via the tickets i have submitted that Grobbulus will eventually be opened, but they just cant say when.
It was over a year ago, by the time i got access to my account back, everything was locked. But i do understand i am an unusual situation.
Paid transfers is what caused the problem in the first place.
Which problem are you referring to? Population balance? Because from what i can see Grobbulus is still the most balanced server even when transfers were available, so dont see how that would cause an issue now. It may swing one way or another, but it would take alot to make it noticeable
The problem of there being way too many damn people.
Throw in Pagle in that mix too

Grobbulus isnt even the most populated server, its behind a couple of others by 4-5K people. It will be just fine

Ummmm no? who would actually advocate to keep a server locked that makes no sense… I play alliance and i 100% think we need to open up the servers . We were close to 30k players when wrath was launched and all of phase 1 were at nearly HALF of that, and the servers are still locked which makes no sense what so ever. Also guess what, when the server is opened ALLIANCE can come too…i know its like magic. So the server can stay balanced while growing to a popular and favorable number again.
Ruining the game experience by struggling to find dungeon groups no RDF, classes getting buffed and nerfed while others left out. its a bit a of crap show but at least open the servers so people can PLAY THE GAME. Anyone wanting to have less players to play with is griefing and clearly a troll. Open them up blizzard plz.
