I mean it’d be cool if we didn’t always have such a solid idea of what’s next because they aren’t gonna pay for people to properly playtest it
But obviously that’s never gonna happen
So lame knowing the next raid and end boss like 8 months before it’s out

idk I do a pretty good job of ignoring beta information I don’t want to see 
but I also don’t watch streamers, so it’s maybe easier for me.

Why are people victim-shaming the op? These are clearly predatory streaming practices designed to force views for Adsense. It’s only a matter of time before these greedy streamers start forcing views in all their content, not just a small fraction of beta content.

I was pleased that I got access to the Midnight Beta because I truly wanted to see what all the fuss was about with Housing.
I have only run the beta for a few days and I must say, I do like the housing scenario.
But now that I have had a taste of it, the rest of the Beta is basically a non event for me, and I say this because I have no intention of levelling up a toon (I copied my Level 80 toon), just to have it all disappear come the release of Midnight.
I find it rather strange that Blizz (and all other games), offer pretty much no incentive to test Beta versions. I would love to continue if there was maybe a one off mount to achieve that you could keep when final release comes around, but to spend all the time and effort on building up your dream house only to lose it at the end is nonsense.

What problem does preventing testers from streaming/uploading Beta footage solve? If it would be the “worst” way to experience the new expansion, wouldn’t you go out of your way to NOT click on such videos?!
If you’re saying you can’t help yourself then that seems like a self-control issue that’s not Blizzard’s problem (or YouTube or Twitch or w/e).
Mythic Raid difficulty mechanics are not available in Beta for just that reason! 
Ok… this came a bit later and makes a lot more sense. I wouldn’t argue against Beta participants having to sign an NDA and lose their accounts if they’re caught disclosing info to the public, but that’s not the approach they’ve take. Now both Alpha and Beta were pretty much known to the public when in the past Alpha was entirely a black box. Maybe that’s them trying to be more transparent or them trying to build more hype (good or bad :p), but it is what it is… it’s their product so peons like us saying “testers should be banned from streaming,” seems kind of like “my opinion is right and I should be running Blizzard!”

It’s not an open beta.
If it were an open beta, it would be open. Since it’s not, that means it’s closed.
It’s a paid beta. That is a closed beta, with paid access.

How is he being victim shamed? People are telling him if he doesn’t want Beta spoiled then not to watch streamers playing beta.
Even if there is a Twitch drop you turn one on, silence the tab and ignore it. Or toss it on your phone and set your phone down. You get credit, get your drop and don’t actually have to watch or have any spoilers.

Think the problem is that’s all they seem to use it for.
Rarely anything gets changed, a lot of bug fixing doesn’t even get triaged until live.

I did dragon isles beta and tww beta..I loved it…
It have me a real sense of those expansions
Midnight I’m going in blind even tho everyone is making videos from beta I’m not watching them..
All I know are haranir are wicked !!! Best new race and housing is going to take up a lot of my time.. in other words I will be logged in as much as humanly possible.. decorating my house and attempting once again to clear all areas in midnight..based on how they have this set up now I might actually get it done this time
Unfortunately due to the us economy and everything being Soo expensive I cannot buy the digital copy I was gifted the physical edition.
For an early Xmas present..so won’t having housing until live launch..
