Its been how long now and no matter the time or day oondasta kills are taking over an hour for each one. At what point can we get the respawn timer adjusted so that everyone can be happy. At this very moment i have seen 11 oondastas tamed in a row. Because of the immunity its impossible for a hunter to not get a tame off
Payback for all the Loqueânahak trolling on hunters.
Which was a small number of people - you are creating a situation where large numbers of people will be âpayingâ back hunters now.
I dont even know who Loqueânahak is and my alts had to leave their camping spot on the isle of giants
I took to collecting tears after i saw a hunter tame 4 in a row. Im at 103 tears and still counting. The best ones are when a hunter starts the tame, before this i would just call out the spawn and go about my day.
Iâm with the âpaybackâ theory.
Having tames killed out from under me, you can build a bridge and get over this one.
its a dino. Why every one want it?
For a lot of hunters itâs mostly because itâs the only one of itâs kind. There isnât another T-Rex style model with this armor and color scheme. Hunters are a strange lot, but we like collecting rare or unusual pet skins. We like it when our pet really âpopsâ or stands out. It doesnât do anything special, though. Itâs just a unique skin that doesnât exist elsewhere.
As for the people farming it who arenât hunters, it drops a mount. The mount isnât unique, or special, in any way. Itâs simply a palette swap of a series of Direhorn mounts. However, it is a mount, so people want it either because they like this palette or because theyâre collectors.
Basically, everyone wants Oondasta because it has something that looks neat but is otherwise functionally identical to other options out there.
Loque nak or whatever his name is , has always been a problem and is probably still a problem to kill/tame or even to just look at in the wild minding its own business.
Oon is going the same way.
Unique skin.
I am just trying for a perfect IV shiny Oondasta. Sorry to those who want to kill him, but I am going to keep at it until I get it!
Blame the developers - they are the ones that create these idiotic and totally avoidable situations that pit players against players.
But it doesnt stand out when every hunter and their mom is going to get it.
If you want a real unique pet you gotta get one of the ones people never use. Like maybe a diseased plague lands wolf or something.
Are there no other mounts to farm? It was very clear from the patch notes this was going to be a heavily farmed hunter pet. I got it on my bm hunter too, soon as I could. Bottom line, you are going to have to wait for hunters to get the pet before it is realistically a mount-farm mob again.
Last I heard there was a cult of Oodnasta.
They meet every Thursday at 4 in UnâGoro crater, just north of the volcano. Cupcakes and tea are provided.
This weekâs motivational speaker is Godzilla.
I am omw to tame Godzilla!
My bovine sister gets it. Letâs see them get a tame off when I Death Grip them across the zone
p.s. As a Hunter main, I donât get the appeal. I have King Mosh and King Krush which are much rarer dinos. They keep their first and last name now so they look awesome when I have both out at the same time
You all had forever to farm this guy. Now hunters have their go at it for a while.
While Iâve shared my two cents on other forum topics about Oondasta taming, I cam across something interesting flying over DazaâAlor. There happens to be a Elite Oondasta just standing there in the city. Obviously, it cannot be tamed by either faction. So, this model was also used for BFA. So, whatâs stopping Blizzard putting up another Oondasta or two on Isle of Giants or Zandalar for that matter.
Aside from the tamers and non-tamers who want Oondasta either as a pet or obtain the mount Oondasta drops, why not Blizzard enable a tamable Oondasta offspring in Zandalar (Zuldazar) or Isle of Giants roaming around. This would exclusively would not drop ANY gear, mounts, materials or anything of that nature that would entice players the need to kill it for any goodies. This way, players farming Oondasta on Isle of Giants can have more of a beneficial chance going for the mount rather have a gang of Hunters trying to tame Oondasta over and over again while there is 2 other Oondasta roaming in WoW.
I have Oondasta in my pet collection, luckily, I obtained Oondasta on day 2 on my 2nd attempt on my server with minimal resistance when Oondasta became available to tame. Now, with that, Iâve also patiently waited for the ONLY one of a kind color Panthera, the âAncient Duskcloakâ from Grove of Naroua. It ONLY spawns when Naroua is available and I waited from 4:00am to 5:53am (EST) just to tame this pet and let me tell you, it was worth it 100%. Oondasta maybe a hot pet right now, but, try for the Ancient Duskcloak, beautiful pet imo!!
Another piece of advice I have for you Hunters trying to tame Oondasta, try a RP server. Iâve heard so many Hunters tamed Oondasta by going to a RP server and barely anyone around to interfere with your tame. Another beast thatâs also available to tame is Horridon in Throne of Thunder. Good luck!!
