Only WOW crashing my PC

I am getting supper frustrated with this latley for some reason WOW is the only game that does it but it crashes my PC and forces it to restart. Cannot figure out the issue I have monitored temps and tried several solutions I have seen online and in forums.

my specs are as follows
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
64gb RAM
RTX 3070 ti
m.2 1tb
windows 10

I should be able to run this game fine not sure why. I have updated drivers uninstall/ fresh installed the game, defragged all my harddrives nothing seems to be working.

Post a DxDiag.

What is actually happening (is it #132 error or something else?). Did you checked your motherboard BIOS version and if there are any updates?

Following. Trying to get my friend on WoW but his high-end PC keeps randomly restarting when he plays the game.

how do I do this

What are the temps when the game is running what type of cooling do you have?

That’s the default BSOD method, unless you change a setting to make it stay on the BSOD: System properties>Advanced>Startup and Recovery>Automatically Reset

You likely have a bad/outdated driver somewhere or some bad software running. We need the end chunk of your DXDIAG that has the diagnostics section.

From Microsoft:

Cause
This bug check is typically related to physical hardware failures. It can be heat related, defective hardware, memory or even a processor that is beginning to fail or has failed. If over-clocking has been enabled, try disabling it. Confirm that any cooling systems such as fans are functional. Run system diagnostics to confirm that the system memory is not defective. It is less likely, but possible that a driver is causing the hardware to fail with this bug check.

Definitely check for overheating.

I definitely don’t think its overheating when I monitor my temps they don’t get that high and I run star citizen on max settings with discord in the background for hours for some reason it’s only WoW crashing my PC

Could we see a screenshot of HWMonitor?

Sorry been busy with work imgur(dot)com/a/F8Zwvfg replace (dot) with . Wouldn’t let me upload a link and not sure how to just attach a screen shot in blizzard forums

You need to post a dxdiag, not a heat sheet. To post the link, you can upload it to pastebin, then type 4 tildes hit enter, and then paste the link.

it should look like this

I posted the dxdiag above he asked for a screenshot of hwmonitor

It could be a clash between WoW’s anticheat engine and something in your OS like a driver or software. Do you run any kinds of VMware or firewalls? Those are known to cause a lot of problems with some games’ anticheat engines.

just windows firewall I don’t use any antimalware

Well looking at all the livekernelevent 124s in your diagnostics, you likely have something wrong with your hardware or with overheating. I don’t take responsibility for any damages you might cause but you can also try these things if you’re comfortable in doing so, click the dropdown for more info:

Proceed at your own caution

Ensure all of your fans are working correctly and blow out any dust you might find.

Reset your BIOS back to defaults to undo any overclocking on the CPU and RAM. Refer to your motherboard’s manual or google if you need help.

Ensure you have absolutely no overclocking going on with your GPU by using a program like MSI afterburner to reset your GPU back to defaults. Ensure absolutely no other gaming or overclocking softwares are running, that could then reapply OC profiles to the system.

If the problem still persists, you’ll want to start reseating all of your components by carefully removing them, blowing out sockets and then carefully reinserting them back in.

If that still doesn’t fix the problem, you’ll want to look into your power supply to make sure it is putting out the correct voltages while under max load. This can be tested with softwares like HWInfo64 and while running extremely demanding loads on the CPU+GPU at the same time (make sure both are ~100% usage). This will put the most strain on the power supply and would be where it would start to slip if it was going bad. Make sure all of them are within +/- 5% or 10% depending on which voltage you’re looking at. Here’s a chart with the min/max ranges for each voltage to make it easier, without having to do the math:

I will try that this weekend when I have time but I am finding it hard to believe it is a hardware issue as I do much more taxing thins on this PC without any issues. I edit and render videos and animations with no problem and play much higher PC usage games with no issues it seems to be isolated only with WoW
