Thereās no good reason why a solid A to B-tier DPS spec in OG Wrath should be E-tier and relegated to āmemeā territory in Classic. The only reason I can imagine why they wonāt fix it is that the WoW team is stretched so thin across two games and Paladins being āwell-representedā is a convenient copout to not have to pour resources into.
Trolls will drag you down to their level and turn the topic into a fight over their place in a zero-sum game, but at the end of the day, thereās no good reason why Retribution shouldāve been pseudo-nerfed in Classic. Letting them have some semblance of their original strength (when balanced, that is) wouldnāt be bad for the game.
Thatās actually a pretty interesting idea. Maybe if it was just another damage button, but it becomes a taunt when you have Righteous Fury on?
Although, Hand of Reckoning is still useful as a utility for Ret and would not only add another step to it, but it would make Retās kit perhaps a little oversaturated with ranged abilites?
I was advocating for Rogues in TBC, and even prioritized taking rogues in my groups for Daily HC / HC runs in general since i knew how hard it was for them to get a group, on my protpally.
Does this mean i have a right for Buffs for my protpally ?
I mean we protpally really could use some buffs, it makes me mad seeing the blood dk having more HP than i have, my superior EHP should be reflected by ingame HP values aswell.

And protpally has a lot of abilitys to use, if you play it to the max.
Protwarrior is easyer to play, and more fun. Nothing beats protwarrior in the fun department, i just wished they would get some love in their defense against huge dmg income, the only aspect they lack to be competetive in cutting edge.
To the whole Ret discussion:
I would love to see a small retbuff, even tho i dont play ret outside of a 5man dungeon twink, where ret is actually performing really well.
But claiming that ret is useless seems also wrong, since ret actually really gives a lot of support, is a huge chad in raid flexibility if he can also 2nd spec into heal on certain encounters.
Currently i would like to see a buff for arms warrior the most, since those guys have it the worst. Warriors generally severly under represented in raids, and no BS arguments like ābut in classic we had 50% warriors in raidsā will fix that issue.
Ret scales incredibly with gear. It is already by far one of the best 5 man specs to bring, so gearing should be easy. Come ICC 2pc, it is laughably one of the highest aoe dmg specs in the game. Just gear up and wait it out.

I totally agree. Ret in 5, and in many cases 10 man content is in a really good spot, even with the huge amount of Hpal/Protpal, otherwise he would be even more in demand.
After the game is basically over, you can deal high aoe dmg, just like the classes that could do so from the beginning.

Do paladins not have access to dual spec and 0 other spec options they can choose from? And lol @ your remark about BM being good in tbc so itās fine that it sucks. You ret mains are the most selfish players in the game. You couldnāt care less about other classes you just want to be topping the meters. Sadly that wonāt happen until after wotlk is over.

Try playing an Elemental shaman. Old Blizzard really hated us, New Blizzard still hates us. T9 4 piece got nuked from space because they dropped the ball so hard on T10 set bonuses & they didnāt want Ele still using T9 in ICC. Lightning bolt is one of the worst scaling single target primary spells, we have to run into melee range to do (sub par btw) AoE DPS. We have no (read, zero!) defensive cooldowns to keep us alive during heavy damage or boss mechanics. Itemization is embarrassing, 90% of mail gear has MP5 on it, most weapons have MP5/Spirit and the ones that donāt are gatekept by Hardmodes or have a low drop rate.
Donāt believe currently blizzard still hates us? Check the H+ loot tablesā¦ the one thing missing is the caster shield that Maexxna drops so Iām still running the heroism token offhand despite an untold number of Naxx10/25 clears.
Edit: Forgot to mention that Fire Elemental does not reset on boss kill/wipe like pretty much every other CD. 10 minute cooldown typically means we can only use it every other boss. Blizzardā¢
Donāt let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harryās and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.
I looked that up on google since I dont know what that ability is but sortaā¦ I was saying give up your immune bubble (it is not available at all - ever in the ret tree) and its replaced with like a quad damage rune (from Quake) maybe for 30s to 45s on a 2 minute cool down (with glyphs available to reduce it down 15s or something)ā¦
Take away ret bubble but give ret the ability to oneshot people in pvp, and being the greatest burst dps in pve by far ?
Im sure every ret would gladly take that, but i honestly dont think it would be a good change oO
