can we just nerf them all into the ground make them equally salty for one specs whiner status?
I instantly shelved my ret Paladin after I dinged 80 and realized the mistake I made.
Andddddd paladin is one of the only classes that has all 3 specs actively bought to raids. QQ more rets, you chose a spec that does low dmg, thatâs on you for not researching/being an edgy teenager that wants to RP as a holy knight, but stop saying ret isnât viable. It is 100% viable. frost and sub arenât viable, beast mastery hunters arenât viable and they arenât bought to raids at all. Ret is viable and is bought to raids regularly.
Donât edgy teenagers make edgelord classes though like DKs, locks, etc? Being a holy knight that stands for things like justice or the Light doesnât sound edgy to me.
It was funny in one of the how to videos by Joardee. âRaid X is the raid where you bring three ret paladins and Jimâs friend Dwight who doesnât have a micâ
LOL
Nah they play ret paladins and throw out gamer words whilst being carried by 24 adults.
We have four paladins in the raid, 2 holy, 1 prot , 1 ret. We are good
my role as a ret paladin raid is to set the bar. if any DPS are below me you need to replace them
what a spec this is, so useful!
Thereâs literally nothing you can do to avoid always having a lowest DPS class though right? I thought class diversity was the whole reason we play classic? Some things are not as good as others, thatâs true in all aspects of life.
Ret is both viable and desirable.
pallys are already strong enough without ret being top dps meters as well.
You really gotta look up the word edgey/edgelord. It doesnât suit paladins at all (except Arthas of course).
i like prot warrior, Specally on fights like Thorim where mobility is nice. Prot warrior is fine. They can do every boss on heroic mode. Look at tankspot videos they all had a prot warrrior.
-two S-tier pvp specs(holy preg) and a third very good one (deep prot)
-most represented on arena ladder
-most popular class in game
-easiest pve tank to play
-strongest pve healer
-deal with it
Donât know, think the whole being a holy knight is just a guise for something sinister.
Why else would our classwide buffs affect both paladins and demons when used
idk my guild is desperate for a ret paladin. Problem is 90% of them have no idea what theyâre doing. They canât even press dsac when itâs needed.
I dont play a paladin but what if they took away your ability to bubble and replaced that bubble ability (for ret paladins) as a bubble of double or triple damage - so during the âbubbleâ timer, you arent immuned but you do double/triple crit damage strikes, would that make you reckdum (I mean retsomething) paladins happy?
Frost and Sub are PvP specs, BM shined in TBC, it had its time, it also has two very viable specs in a raid setting. The same applies to Sub/Frost, they can literally just swap to another spec and do damage. My guild already has its tanks and healers so my option to do somewhat respectable dps is to reroll. Am I going to reroll? Not unless my guild asks me too.
I knew what I was getting into when I swapped in TBC. My guild was in need of a token ret. I knew what patch we were getting. I knew about all the nerfs ret received throughout OG Wrath. The only thing I didnât know and iâm sure others didnât as well was how far behind it is compared to other specs. It is a complete raid tier behind everyone in full Ulduar bis. I personally donât think itâs healthy to be THAT behind everyone else. I donât mind being the bottom, but I do mind being a raid tier behind others. You can say itâs fine all you want, but its not.
Would I like to see a buff? Yes, but honestly, only a small buff that keeps us in line with others and makes us a somewhat competitive dps spec that has the potential to see themselves on the meters besides a few fights in ulduar. I personally think ret is in a somewhat decent place they just need a small damage buff. Theyâve got amazing utility, theyâre unironically best in slot for 10M content, and have some use in some 25M Ulduar HMs, but past prog, they have almost zero reason to be brought if you already run 1 prot/2 hpallies.
