Only 2 tanks and 2 healers listed in LFG at primetime on Grobb

LFG is a better organic system that makes it so people will have to engage with other players on their servers. It encourage the use of a community as you won’t be able to do content easily without communicationg. It encourages people learning how to make a group and join them when endgame doesn’t work with system like RDF.

Funny that you make that comment just to make a comment on me. Ironic.

While I played on Skyfury, I could tell you the names of almost everyone active in my guild during that time.

I cannot tell you the names of everyone on the server because they were strangers that I probably never interacted with or ran a dungeon with them once for daily heroic.

Again, you’re just regurtitating the “muh community” meme

Skyfury was a streamers server that never had the idea of server community much. They all left when the streamers left because no one cared. That you made a bad decision to go on that server is not my fault.

So which is it? Suddenly “muh community” doesn’t matter when it doesn’t fit your narrative?

I’m saying that the server setting matters when we talk about server community. Same goes for mega server that goes against it.

Skyfury was a flash in the pan. That crashed as soon as streamers left.

Servers communities need a lot of care to exist, you can’t just create them by throwing streamers on them.

Community is now in discord.

It’s both, my server has a discord. Many people use it.

LFG is hitting a button with multiple steps. You whisper your class, spec, gs and get invited.

Someone then asks for a summon.

You do the instance quietly.

Everyone disbands.

You just feel like it’s better because everyone is on the same server, when in reality, it’s just a worse RDF.

RDF also does not remove LFG. You can still find 4 randoms on your server and chain run random instances.

You do not have to communicate in any meaningful capacity to play this game. You do not need friends to play this game, just warm bodies.

Endgame works fine with RDF. Raiding is not random heroics or leveling instances.

Hell I’ve gotten a mythic raid team out of RDF, so where is the negative.

So we’re still at 0 cons. You got anymore.

  1. I didn’t know it was the streamer server when I created a character there, I don’t watch streamers.

  2. It was actually really active and nice at launch

  3. They were all alliance, I’m horde. I literally don’t give a rat about them they didn’t affect me in any way.

That said, when it got locked not long after launch we were stuck being unable to ever grow, and that lock stayed forever. It was a slowly dying server, but it’s funny if you think about it. You seem to think smaller servers have a more community feel, and I’m telling you that’s not the case.

Whatever you just said is just trying to minimalize my point. You can do that about everything it doesn’t mean what I said wasn’t true.

You clearly again are just trying to have it your way. It doesn’t work like that.

Making circles is fun. I hope you enjoy it.

Ignorance is not an excuse.

That’s called the honeymoon phase

Doesn’t change anything if we talk about the server.

Having a community doesn’t mean your server can’t die. Small servers have to be taken with care (which is hard and something Blizzard is new at) and yes I would have banned streamers from fresh servers or made a server just for them.

Idk why you’re pretending like you just know everyone on your server lmfao.

Your community is on discord with your guild and other community discords you’re in.

I know a lot of people and a lot of people know me. I don’t expect everyone to know me personally. What you say and do on smaller servers has impact because the amount of people is limited. Your community is both ingame and on discord. One doesn’t remove the other.

Server size is irrelevant to this.

Whatever you just said tried to make a mountain out of a molehill.

See I can do the same to you.

Your point is minimal, player interaction will be on the player, not the tool used.

See you know how this goes. You list a bunch of things that aren’t relevant or you blow it out of proportion, I bring reality into the discussion to show that there really isn’t any con to RDF, you then say the big one where RDF is cross realm and cross realm play is not supported to which I respond with that blizzard has the technology to make servers irrelevant and meaningless which makes those social connections through RDF more meaningful, and you then to “but muh server community” because you’re a tired old individual who clings to dated ideas of tribalism over having access to the entire playerbase to expand your social interactions to the possible max.

Because it isn’t actually about social interactions for you, it’s just basic tribalism.

You have spent a long time trying to derail me from this point, but you can’t, because I’ve seen these arguments too many times.

You’re a tribalist server Andy who feels good saying that you have strong server ties over strong guild ties, because it makes you feel superior, despite the fact that a small server can easily be equaled to a guilds worth of players in regards to a community.

So go on, list the cons.

Yes so you will keep minimalizing my point.

I haven’t derailed anything I’ve stuck to my points because denying them or minimizing them isn’t properly adressing them. You’re the one that keep trying to derail this discussion and tries each time to make it personnal or use stickers.

It is, the more people you add in a server the less a single element is important. It’s just basic logic at this point.

It’s different to have a 10m guild vs a 25m guild or a 40m guild. It’s pretty obvious, anyone that has managed anything can tell you that the size has big impacts with how social interactions work.

Which is why you won’t list the cons and will just say something about a highway in place of cons.

This isn’t a highway. This is a tool for instances.

You know how this story ends and you’re not trying to look like an idiot so you won’t actually list the cons, because you know whatever you’ll say to fatten up your argument is just that, worthless fat. The actual meat of your argument has already been countered so what else do you have? You have deflection.

List. The. Cons.

You’re hitting your face against a wall and refuse to understand my examples. Should I start answering with gif because I don’t feel you’re getting anywhere.

You’ve been missing the point since the start and I might have taken way too much time just to answer you. I don’t think it needs more explanations.

So deflection.

Gg you’ve proven my point flawlessly.

If you refuse to acknowledge how the world works that isn’t my fault.

I’m not the one pretending like RDF has cons, but then using metaphors for the cons over just listing them.

Look, save your gifs, you’ve already proven my point through the multiple deflections you’ve done, and your inability to list any tangible con that isn’t what I already addressed, so we’re done here.

Gg, thanks for proving my point.
