Only 2 tanks and 2 healers listed in LFG at primetime on Grobb

That’s legit awesome. Mine was similar but I paid the xfer fee. Got me a heroic LK kill from that and a lasting guild for a few more years after. I really do credit it as having had nothing but a positive effect on mine and others game play. Felt really good to be known as a good tank by people off my initial starting realm.

I accept one con from RDF, as all other cons, ie, the lack of interaction, griefing, ninja looting, etc, is all based solely on the players and the tools used to get the group together are moot. These are all player actions and exist with or without RDF.

Except highways, despite highly used, did not replace any other road. Feeder roads, school district roads, neighborhood roads, farm to market, etc, all exist still and are all currently used as well in highly various degrees.

It’s almost like, just like the highway, RDF only adds to it and there is no underlying agenda to stop others from using other means.

If people stop playing with you because of RDF, then that should show how much they valued you. If they drop you because of the tool, then your whole perceived social community never really existed for any reason you want, and only existed as a necessity, with you being a tool to an end goal, not because they liked you.

It’s almost if RDF doesn’t take away and only adds, but your fear of what could be lost shows where your mind actually is, and if that’s a fear you hold, you should look in the mirror and find better friends.

I know my friends and I would just spam instances and it’d be a great time because my community exists externally to just wow. I fostered community that will last a lifetime, not a phase.

No. I can’t say what I want to say due to natural forum censorship, but no. I’m done agreeing with compromises. Your fear is that your tribalism will be destroyed when people have better means of accessing content and don’t need you specifically to be there. That’s a you issue. That’s not a me issue. That’s not a Drink’s issue. That is a you issue. Be better if you’re afraid of being dropped, or find better people.

We have real ID tech in this game already, you could technically add them to real ID and queue with them cross server.

The tech is there.

That’s great to hear man. RDF has only been a net positive for the vast majority of players.

The ones I see against RDF are usually those who lack the ability to make actual connections and need players to be pigeon holded into grouping with them, which is why they never have cool RDF stories.

But MuH cUmmUnTiDdy

But they had impacts on people positives and negatives. And yes having one meant having less of the other. That’s just how it work.

I think you fail to understand that the greater community is not 1 or 2 people. And I’m not worried about people that I know I’ll play endgame with, endgame which is not doable with RDF.

It’s just so funny you try to attack me or my character. That’s great because I have a lot to give and I have done a lot. So feel free to inspect all the achievements I did on this character.

I’ll live that RDF is on or not. Doesn’t mean I cannot disagree with it or that I don’t believe that there are meaningful cons.

That’s because you’re selfish. If people use rdf it’s because they don’t find those trivial interactions valuable. You don’t want anyone to have an option because you selfishly want to force them to find groups only your way. No insult intended.

Whether or not RDF is better for the game is irrelevant. The ONLY thing that matters is that it’s a Wrath feature. Just about everyone agreed the Vanilla PVP system was terrible, yet it was still included because it was part of Vanilla. This is why I was no changes, because it’s the only objective position.

Uh huh. Mostly positive. It’s why highways and interstates exist and are maintained.

It’s also why RDF is still there in retail. It’s almost like it’s just better.

A community? You mean a group of people with shared interests? No I know what a community is. You trying to make me sound like a mouth breather does you no favors.

Cope. You’re in a corner and now trying to relate this to endgame, which I assume you mean raiding as that’s the end game.

We’re not discussing endgame. We’re talking about social interactions with players and how RDF affects that, which it doesn’t as it’s based solely on the player. You’re going off about community like it’s something that matters in regards to RDF, but it doesn’t, as RDF does not stop you from getting a full squad together and then using the tool. It doesn’t have to be a solo tool, nor is solo required. You can play with all your guild with RDF. You can make a LFG group to spam RDF and then spam RDF when full.

RDF does not take away from your community.

No if I wanted to attack your character I’d bring up your logs.

Look guy, I’m not the one afraid of my people leaving me if RDF comes out. That’s a you fear, not a me fear. You can try to put a mask on to cover up this fact but I’m not the one going off about muh community.

You keep saying this but you haven’t even said what the cons are.

I’ve listed more cons about RDF than you have, so forgive me if I don’t take you seriously when you don’t even elaborate your point.

Here, I’ll start you off. A con of RDF is that is it cross server but the game features no means of meaningfully interacting with those cross server once the group is finished.

Go on. Go list more cons that only RDF brings.

Inb4 you go off about ninja looting and griefing which is not inherently to just RDF, and is a con of the playerbase, but I’m still expecting you to state it as an RDF con.

I think we would have a better game if they did the original script yes. But that probably would require too much work anyway.

I’m also all for them banning people for 6 months like they used to do. Now that would be #Classic.

Of course that’s how it works. When ever there are more choices the population is more spread out over those choices. But you’re selfish. You only want people to be able to make choices you like. You don’t care what other people want.

Retail is barely a shadow of it’s former self. I don’t think anyone should take examples out of that book.

If you want to act ignorant, you will be called ignorant.
I think trying to minimalize the community in an mmo is a grave mistake.
There are betters games if pure gameplay is what you’re looking for.
MMos are better for their social aspect and their massive gameplay.

Your corner is kinda big, maybe I’ll invest in a pool.

What do you mean? Endgame is where most people play this game nowadays. Let’s talk about chicken but only the legs. It’s also why I don’t care if they add RDF during leveling because to a certain point nobody care for leveling even Blizzard is selling boost.

It does you just stated that it did before.

Oh those would be good. Can’t wait.
Can you make a poster, also my right side is the good side.

I’ve said that many times.
You just chose to say “irrelevant”.

But people refuse to explain what those cons actually are.

I have been polite. Some people have shown they don’t deserve polite and for those specific people, they dont get polite any more.

If you couldnt tell that was heavy with sarcasm as his experience is very similar to mine. Treating the game socially and getting social results.

Also note the person i replied to liked my comment as he understood the point i was making.

I have never said they havent had the experiences they claim. I have offered them solutions that have worked for me and their replies have been along the lines of “you’re just a liar”, “i dont want to put effort in, give me rdf”, and “your solutions won’t perfectly fix my issue so i need rdf instead and i wont even try your solutions”.

Something about a year of people spamming the same topic sfter reciving an answer on it from blizzard and still spamming the topic because they dont like the answer makes for a bad forum environment to begin with as they are already breaking forum rules. Its just the enforcement of said rules here isnt very good.

Your not the one breaking forum rules, inacting bully tactics, and trying to force me into silence.

A few weeks agi i even had someone openly admit he was reporting all of my posts simply because i did not agree with rdf. He then admitted to having multiple banned accounts and was using all of them to report me, did not care if his current forum active account got banned because he would just buy a new one. He isnt the only one that has tried this to me, but he is one of the few that recived punishment for it.

Nah people refuse to accept them whenever I say them, there’s a big difference here.

So feel free to scroll up.

Name an actual problem that isn’t “I just don’t like RDF”

I never claimed there were not bad eggs on the anti rdf as well.

I dont move goal posts. The one that constantly posts that video of the goal post moving is the one that has constabtly intentionally misrepresented what i say on a regular basis. Me correcting his misrepresenting of what i said isnt moving goal posts, as for inflammatory comments. Only to those who very much deserve it based on their past behavior.

You’re scroll up key must be broken. Anyway nice try again, but that’s gonna be 10cents per strawman and I’m gonna be making money today.

While yes, the peak of wow subs was a long time ago, LKC isn’t doing too hot in comparison either. At best, it’s equal to retail subs, and at worst, it’s lower.

We aren’t at 11 million players either my guy. Who would have thought that the classic version of the most played expansion would be so dead.

Baseless.

Community is, at it’s core in reference to video games, a group of players with shared interests. Youre just afraid your friends will leave you and are masking it as a community in peril.

MMOs are what the playerbase makes of them. This statement you made is true in regards to FF14, as the playerbase goes out of their way to play how they find fun. They have more accessibility based tools than LKC and have arguably a better community than any version of wow.

It’s almost like it’s based on the playerbase and not the tools.

Wow currently is a raid log game. You hit your caps and log off, because the game at it’s core is dated and bad, only made worse by tone deaf devs trying to appeal to a dying breed of player.

Which is what RDF is used for mostly.

What do you mean? You’re the one who brought up end game, when this discussion was about RDF.

So defensive. If I was going to bring up your logs I would have done it in my first post as a means to discredit what you say.

Because they’re not RDF exclusive. It’s cope presented as an argument. You have yet to list any con that isn’t the one I already stated that is inherent to just RDF.

It’s almost like the tool is a net positive.
