Only 2 tanks and 2 healers listed in LFG at primetime on Grobb

It’s still priceless

And you also dont know how my guild works with the fact we have a rotating bench as it is, but I keep acting like social connections have no meaning

They were literally replacing you for me, even your officer said you were an underperforming hunter.

Easily replaced.

By a guild you were in for over a year.

And keep in mind the anti RDF crowd completely ignores that RDF in no way prevents you from forming groups with your guildies and friends just like they claim they do now.

Entirely correct.
Both systems are able to work entirely with each other and not against. History shows this.

If people want to form a group of friends/guildies/own server both LFG and RDF allow this. People will often choose to play with friends over randoms imo.

I’m sure you treat your friends as rudely as you treat strangers but I never whisper guildies asking them if they want to do a dungeon. I’ll ask in guild chat which is similar to asking in /4, trade, or other chat channels. No one is saying that you shouldn’t look for a group in chat channels. The guild tanks and healers get enough spam from strangers whispering them. They don’t need it from friends.

Chat channels are channels that are opted into, i.e. guild chat channel, looking for group, trade chat, group chats. You can leave those at any time you wish and are more public. Personal messages, private messages, or direct messages are used for private communication between parties and are used when privacy is a concern.

Off topic, I think I am being punished. I can’t log out of forums and now I can’t stop posting.

Nothing has changed. I’ve seen tanks and healers complaining about the whispers they got back in vanilla. There were threads about in back on the original forums. Dps doesn’t complain about it because they almost never get whispers asking them to join groups.

I’m sure it does. You can more easily guilt trip someone in your guild to help you than complete strangers.

well most of the population is done with them and don’t want to do them anymore…other wise they’d be queued

Many people don’t bother to queue or to make a new alt because the success rate of finding dungeon groups with the current dungeon tools is so low.

You fail to understand how the path of least resistance work. The fact you name it is you know that the argument stand. This would be changing how a lot of people if not most interact with a game feature and other people. People will often play with their friends, but that doesn’t mean adding this system will be better for people to play with their friends or to make some.

People have complained about the clouds and the rains, it doesn’t mean that those will stop or that we don’t need them.

The fact you think this just tells me how bad of a friend you would be. You do understand the concept of having fun right?

You would compare you begging strangers to help to an uncontrollable force of nature. The good news for you is that if you ever lose your job and end up homeless you’ll have no trouble adjusting to your new life as a beggar.

I’d often stop what I’m doing to help a guildie. Most of the people in the guilds I was in were sensitive to the lack of tanks and healers and tried to limit how often they asked for guild tanks and healers to help them. It’s just common courtesy, something you know nothing about. Guilds are there to help you. The guild tanks and healers didn’t join the guild to constantly be there for you at your beck and call. If every one in the game was as rude as you tanks and healers would only do dungeons or be constantly bombarded with whispers. Luckily most players in the game understand common courtesy and realize how rude it is to bother complete strangers begging for help. That’s the flaw in your idea that everyone could do what you do to find groups, whisper every tank and healer begging for help. Your tactics wouldn’t work if every one was as rude as you.

there’s no downsides to passively being queued, we’d just have 1+hr long queues and people would still be here whining about it.

There’s no way we can know what the queues would be like in classic. But your prediction of hour + queues seems unlikely. Queues with rdf in original wrath were never longer than an hour, usually under 30 minutes and rdf queues in retail are usually less than 30 minutes for a dps.

So you think group formation should be difficult and that will create lasting social bonding? Path of least resistance is a garbage argument against RDF as making things easier for your players to participate in generally increases player involvement. Sliding scale based on activity, not saying had out endgame loot or high end PVP gear. Accessibility is a good thing.

So you claim that including a system designed to make grouping easier for both PUGs across servers and friend groups would not be incentive to use RDF or to group? The same can 100% be said of LFG.

The whole social argument falls flat entirely because socialization is a choice and not something that can be forced. If players want to socialize, they will do so regardless of the system. Those people in RDF groups? they aren’t bots.

The good news is we all know from this thread that people that want RDF are just bullies. Thanks for confirming it. So this harassment line from all of you is just a joke.

It’s not because more players play a mobile games that they are social games. smh.

It doesn’t make grouping easier for friend groups, it makes it harder as some people will prefer to use the easiest option just because it “respect more their time” and etc.

Socialization is a choice but you can teach people how to get to certain points and you can nudge them together. People that can’t find a group without RDF will then ask for LFR and solo content because they can never manage to find a group. I prefer the game to teach that earlier than later.

Yeah, the people who say no rdf, you all have to play the way I play are the nice people and those who say let everyone freely choose how to play, with the retail lfg tool, or the chat channels or rdf are the bullies.

I will now respond to hypocrites only in gifs.
Have a nice day.

It made it much easier for me. If I announced in guild that I’d like to do some level 30 dungeon before rdf friends wouldn’t likely switch to their level 30 alt to join my group. Even for level capped dungeons people often wouldn’t join unless we already had a tank or healer. Why switch to another character when the odds are that the group wouldn’t come together. After rdf some friends would always join the group because they knew that eventually the group would form.
