So you can find threads about this spanning back a long ways, but with Soars buff to be equivalent to dragon ridding, I’m going to bring it up again. Whenever I soar between zones I lose all momentum. I don’t have this issue on dragon riding mounts, only when using soar pre and post patch. I use almost no add ons, have great internet, a good graphics card and an SSD. I’m hoping someone has so work around or fix for this because it’s super lame.

Yep. I don’t know why its specifically preservation, but when I soared as devastation I didn’t have the issue anymore

I just had this issue as Augmentation as well (traveling from the hub to the catalyst), but at the same time I was covered in a green glow so maybe it was a preservation talent?

Yeah it’s happening in dev too, for sure.
I guess I didn’t test it enough as dev last night. Maybe it’s multiple different issues all causing the same problem of varying scales because it was definitely worse as preservation
I tried it as dev and I didn’t have the issue. It’s such a weird bug.

The only time I personally was able to get the bug to reoccur now was going from valdrakken to thaldraszus. As both preservation and augmentation, whenever the transition occurred to dreamsurge, speed would be halted. It didn’t happen as devastation. I’ve only been soaring around for like 10 minutes but that’s the only hiccup I’ve hit.
Possible if you’re still encountering it outside of this, that there’s a seperate bug that may impact people differently, or not at all.

This just happened for me in dev, and not in a Dragonflight zone, so it’s definitely not fixed btw.
