Once wrath is over

Yea, they backpeddled after backlash…but their inability to give a concrete answer doesn’t speak well to their intent.

Easy money with cata and mop, questionable for wod, but legion would also make money.

I agree. I don’t think Blizzard really knows what they’re doing anymore. Part of me will always blindly trust them though since I grew up on WC3 and WoW.

Not sure that’s true. I’m sure I’m not alone in the thought that WoTLK was the end of an era. I would be done with this game completely if it was just Retail and Cata/Mop/Wod classic.

Cata, mop and legion are quite popular on the pserver rounds.

Vanilla has no dungeon finder, and the PvP gearing system is complete no life mode, and I have a job and i’m over 30 now so I wouldn’t make it anywhere in vanilla unless I won the lottery and could retire and play WoW every single day all day. I’m still even on the fence about wotlk until dungeon finder is put into it, i’ll probably just pvp on my main with what time I have to spare on the weekends and after work until brian caves and releases it.

Well, I could be completely wrong. Just my 2cents

They’d lose some people from wrath who don’t like cata sure, but they’d also pick up people who enjoy cata/mop.

My personal favorite expansion is mop, but the best time period for wow was wrath through mop to me.

This is my exact hesitation in even rerolling on fresh wotlk realms. I will get insane FOMO seeing everyone playing 24/7 while I get 2 hours a day, maybe.

Yeah I’m sure they would gain some people back for that but at what point does classic stop being classic? Are they just gonna do a classic version of every expansion? Kind of defeats the purpose to me. Classic was an era.

call it something else, but everyone should get a chance to reexperience their favorite expansion imo, so yes, they should keep going.

Works well for EQ honestly.

My hope is for them to have vanilla - MoP on scheduled recurring timelines that last about a year each. Give everybody the option to play the iteration of the game they want.

I don’t disagree with that sentiment. I guess I would just so much prefer a classic+ but that’s probably a pipe dream.

And to that i have to say, do you really want the current wow team to mess with classic? lol

It is, I could dream up an ideal classic + in five minutes but they’ll never do it… 40 man hyjal / grim Batol / karazhan after Naxx

I’d play Classic+ but there needs to be some changes and more raids added on that the OG devs wanted to put in.

I’d want,

Transmog
Balanced racials
Redone talents and class balance
New raids
Better exp
Heroic versions of dungeons
10, 20, 40 man raids
Revamped PvP
Revamped Battle Grounds
All places finished or expanded
Better gear for all levels
AV back to it’s original glory
World PvP made better with better guards
Better rep rewards where rep actually matters
More War or Faction based focus, less “Horde and Alliance need to work together” crap and no homogenization of the factions. Horde is Horde, Alliance is Alliance.

I think that’s problem with Classic+, everyone wants something different so it would end up failing, at least I think it would on that.

What a dream come true Classic+ would be. In a sense it would be almost like WoW 2.

True but there could be a happy medium. Just tough to find… I think a lot of people would be interested in the concept. Clearly on this forum there are.

I wouldn’t say don’t do it, but it wouldn’t be something I’d be interested in honestly.
