I believe they said they were done responding in this thread. Good riddance I say
will be looking for you in your trek through the 30-39 bracket.
What times do you play? I work 3-11pm est the next 3 nights so will probably be midnight to 2 or 3 am queue time for me.
haven’t been playing much lately, I been investing time in AC: O and having a blast but will make the time tonight and this weekend. I main a lock and haven’t played it in awhile, perhaps watching you play may spark my interest again.
I twink, to counter other twinks in the brackets i play.
I crave even games, i don’t like the one-sided ones… including when my team just facerolls the other.
That’s not a gg.
GG’s are when it’s close, i mean like close… when the normie rogue saps that FC at the crucial moment for the win. Or when the low geared warlock “gets it” and spends the game cc’ing healers.
One of the best games i ever had was a 5man twink group on each side in Arathi Basin… the final score was 1500 to 1499. It was a long a brutal game and there was never a point where there was going to be a clear winner.
and i lost.
Don’t presume to “twinksplain” my motivations.
Ooo yikes. Don’t watch me play, I am the epitome of noob which is why I’m perfect for this
lol noob, I would bet that between all your locks you’ve racked up over a million HK’s. You’ve bound to retain some good playing having been at it that long.
How? By gearing up? That’s part of the game.
By PvP’ing? Part of BG’s.
How? By killing them?
What’s your point? That’s it’s okay to be undergeared?
New players aren’t immune to gearing up.
Source?
That’s PvP. It’s not nice, but it’s allowed.
The point of BG’s is to PvP.
-
Gearing up as you level is part of the game, freezing your level so you can outgear the other players is twinking, also part of the game, the topic of this thread being if it should be part of the game in leveling queues.
-
No, the question is if it is desirable, or fair, to allow a minority to be overgeared.
-
So everyone who uses battle grounds while leveling should freeze their level until they have max gear before continuing to level? That being obviously Ridiculous, what is your point?
-
Farming HKs in BGs is what you do if you’re too stupid to understand how the BG works, or if you are simply griefing your teammates. If you’re that bad a player you represent the reason some players dislike twinks.
-
WPvP, RBGs, BGs, and Arenas are all PvP, but they are not all the same. You are giving the impression that you want to pretend to be doing WPvP but aren’t up to it so you pretend to while you twink.
Since this is a thread about misconceptions, you don’t have to freeze your level until you have max gear. You just need to have some effort and also know how to pvp.
This is from a recent game I had. We literally won at the last second (they capped last, so we had to cap again)

Notice the person on top? A leveler
What’s your sample size?
Bad logic, as usual. Prove it.
It would be a lot easier to use your link if you would highlight the URL then click on the “preformatted text” option rather than breaking the URL. One of the benefits of the new forums.

The point remains, Floyln was indicating that a new player should just get gear to match the twinks, that’s simply absurd on the face of it.
You don’t need to ‘get gear to match the twinks’ to kill a twink. Outside of 110-119, the gear difference between a twink and the average player just isn’t that big.
We’re talking about a new player, someone who is learning the game, learning the BG map, and learning their class, and discussing if twinks have an unfair advantage that might discourage that new player from continuing to play the game. In this context the statement was (amongst other things):
“What’s your point? That’s it’s okay to be undergeared?” And “New players aren’t immune to gearing up.”
My response to that apparent troll remains the same; it’s simply absurd on the face of it.
These threads feel like groundhog day or edge of tomorrow. They keep dying, coming back to life, then repeating themselves over and over again.
Edit: New players have plenty of resources to understand the game, we were all new players at one point in time then we slowly learned until we were veterans of the game, this is usually how it works. Heck all they have to do is ask; Plenty of people in game are happy to help new players, generally concerning new players I always see someone willing to help them and get them up to speed, they would have likely no problem at all especially with the internet nowadays with Wowhead and what not.
A.I Battlegrounds for the lower brackets would be interesting.
It’s nonsense to claim that twinks are interested in balanced twink-v-twink games. Twinks are not at all balanced AGAINST EACH OTHER. The point is irrelevant. If you’re the wrong class in the wrong bracket, you might as well be a fresh max-level anyclass.
How many truly ‘new’ players have you run into recently? I’ve seen one, literally one person on my journey to 70 that didn’t have BoAs of some sort. And it was an Orc DK when I was like 61. Sadly I really don’t think this game is attracting ‘new’ players right now.
New players are not very good to balance around in a 14 year old game and like was said all they have to do is ask in the bg. People have been friendly in all my matches so far tbh.
