Exhaustion leads to weird question.
So wanted to ask to lore purist, when you see a female Night elf Druid or a Male Night elf Hunter do you cringe or just shrug?

No. Iâm very comfortable around female night elf druids
As a night elf lore purist, itâs a hard shrug from me. The Long Vigil had to end so we could actually play our character classes in WoW. I do feel mildly annoyed when seeing male priests though.
A female druid has no problems. Especially if itâs a balance druid. Because then itâs basically being a priestess of elune.
But I donât mind male night elves being priest, play whatever you want.
being important words here
Though there was a time in the long vigil where females had to step in to fill many roles left vacant there is nothing that says males that were not druids stopped performing those duties.
There is not anything in the lore that justifies a preference officially however personal discrimination could still be a thing.
I cringe more seeing any Night Elf mage.
There is a reason the world is screwed up.
Reading up I think I have a better grasp on lore. While druidism was widespread among male Kaldorei there wasnât technically anything stopping females from pursuing the druidic arts themselves, most however would probably have preferred to study as a Priestess of Elune or enroll in the all female Sentinel army.
Surely not all males were Druids though. Perhaps civilians who lived peacefully only deciding to pick up a bow or glaive after the Third war when a good number of their standing military was decimated at Hyjal and Tyrande loosened the enrollment process?
I find it odd seeing Orc Mages.
We all do Dreadmoon, we all do. Iâll be the first to admit that Orcs lack the mental acuity necessary for arcane manipulation and mastery. And I love WoW Orcs.
Before anyone says anything about Orc Warlocks, Iâve always saw them as being more of strength of will, dominating demons into his service. Not about intelligence.
Why are male night elf the supposed casters when their casting animations are terrible though?
I canât help but equate âlore puristâ with one who adheres to original Warcraft Lore the same way a Fundamentalist adheres to the Bible.
Whenever I see a night elf my first thought is âlooks like Sylvanas missed oneâ.
Oh, dear. Arthas was a man of great thoroughness too, I canât believe you ever survived.
Jesus H. Christmas, my sides.
Iâm too pretty to die.
Druids are one of the best class it was a shame to see it get streamlined for casuals. It was like watching a slaughter house it just wasnât any good.
What relevance does that have to the topic of playable night elf races and their reception by night elf fans?
I was just reminiscing over the original game as to what it is now.
I mean Night Elves were cool and all but then they got their tree burned down⊠I dont know itâs like WoW wasnât even broken and then some guy threw a wrench at it and it somehow exploded. I mean the game is alright still but I dont see it being on the same level as War3
Same, i have no idea why they made Orcâs capable of being mages, they do not have the scholarly mindset or mental discipline to be a mage, elemental shamans are the Orcâs mages, i cringe so hard everytime i see one, it just makes no sense.
