If you look at the clip, the Warrior did just as much healing as the Ret paladin did aswell. And still managed to lose.
There is a stigma to the ret paladin, that’s why it’s been branded the “red-headed step child” of WoW for years.

It’s almost like was something that was supposed to be addressed in the Ret rework until it was decided that they didn’t know how to design their way out of a wet paper bag.
It’s laughable how people have deemed the current rework a success despite absolutely no significant change to the design of the rotation/damage of the spec.
It’s almost as if they gave us a rogue resource and can’t figure out how to design ret to not be too similar to rogues…

Bro, the rework came out like a week or two ago, I dont need to do any pvp or rss for like months I was 2400 before all this stuff do you think long time ret mains in here, just want the spec to be broken? Do you really? I started posting on these foruns close to a year ago and I can tell you I see the same 10 people always posting in here and I remember most of them by now. And you know what, most ret posters here dont even pvp lol or dont pvp as their main mode. So before you go around hating on the paladi forums please look at yourself, how you can improve. Because I neither other rets go to other classes forums to complain and there were real offenders that took blizzard months to be adressed and not a couple of DAYS like blizzard just nerfed ret.
Oh and the crying got more nerfs rammed through. JotP is self-only starting Tuesday and the PvP forums already have people saying it still isnt enough.
The crying is never going to stop until Ret is back in the dumpster where they feel it belongs.
Rets pvp talents were all used and nerfed down one by one. So before youd run reckoning unbound and sanc/lawbringer
Then they nerfed
Reckoning to 100 stacks
Lawbringer to 8/4/2%
Unbound dispel protection removed from the game
And now luminescence and judgement cleanse.
So what is ret left with? Vengeance aura (lmao) and spellwarding that is situational. Are those gonna get nerfed too? Like on my enh and arms there are SO MANY options. Only locked talent is sharpen for arms and static field for enh yet ret keeps getting their talents gutted lel.

No, people don’t want ret to be F tier, they just dont want 3x ret lobbies all rerollers every game because the class is overtuned and beyond easy to play. Simple as
Yes, they do. And because Blizzard caved once, theyll continue to cave until Ret is back down with the tanks and the entire “”“rework”“” was a completely useless waste of time as Ret will end up worse off universally than it was before 10.0.7
No, the spec was overtuned, but since thn it got some big nerfs and also the spec was always popular and just got a rework that many were waiting, turns out that it is fun to play, it is obivous there will a lot of people playing it. Instead of freaking out just give it a little time.
For most players, that’s probably true. But on the surface level of the forums it just comes off as wanting nerfs. =/

Paladin Community: Nerf Ret Burst but give us back Undispellable Freedom.
It’s a mentality that needs to shift in the video game world, its not a call for nerfs, but a call for balance. To make reasonable trades, have strengths and weaknesses, etc…
There needs to be something we gain to offset the nerfs, in a different area of the spec.
Its really only in RSS that paladins are getting free rein but 2s 3s comp wise it isnt nearly as bad into their counters ya know Mage Lock Hunter anything with purge/kite potential.
Its very weird people are so shocked by rets damage an control with their kit when it’s equal footing.
Granted the Judgement nerf to dispell an the previous nerfs were def needed. Bgs they arent anymore outstanding then DK/war/Dh
An rsham is being overshadowed by all the ret hate sailing pretty atm. People are wild.

Ret will get PVP nerfed somewhat when they nerf crit to 50% down from 75% in pvp. That will generally nerf burst specs the most. On top of that, with the CC changes it should give healrs an easier time to recover from being CC’d which generally means you can’t burst someone down when healer is CC’d as fast. That is more nerfs to burst windows.
But what is going to happen is that Ret will get nerf by like 10% now, and be average, and then when 10.1 hits with more PVP changes, it’ll be below average again from suddenly being over-nerfed.
That’s seems so evident… but clearly not for everyone.
Because this isn’t happening, it’s people not pressing their buttons and being wrecked. Then they post clips about it like its reality, but the reality is they disrespected Wings and died for it.
What I find humorous is that getting a rogue out of stealth used to be a challenging, skillful display of skill.
Blizzard didn’t like that, so now Rogues can initiate and fall back any time they want.
Balance is relative, that’s the problem. Calls for balance don’t amount to anything, because you have to put the balancing apparatus somewhere.
Instead players have to know what the design intent is, and when Blizzard doesn’t follow that intent, criticize the **** out of them for it.
Most players don’t have enough defensive to deal with 1 min wings that now lasts 23 sec.
Plenty of classes have 1m-1.5m defensives, and if they don’t their healer should be making up the gap. Wings is also not that bad. It’s not Wings that is killing people out of nowhere, it’s the FV+DS+DA combo, which already got hit once, the DS talents could still use another hit in PVP. This stuff is also all trackable though, so it’s not like you can’t see them lining it up.
