OMG it finally happened. The most important question in wow was finally asked

I never had an issue doing Spine but it is a fight that takes forever. I genuinely feel bad for people still farming that raid.

Spine skip would also be nice.

Took me a year and I will never go back after having gotten all of the mounts in there. Friggin nightmare.

Something’s always gotta be the longest raid, right? If it wasn’t SoO, it’d be something else. You’re right that nobody would complain about SoO if it was shorter, because they’d be complaining about whatever the next longest raid is. Based on some of the later replies here, I imagine the focus would shift to complaining about DS lol

At a certain point, a raid is simply “too long”. Yes there must always be a raid that is longest compared to others. But at the same time there’s also the fact that there’s an absolute figure that is just too long for a raid to be. DS has been complained about for ages due primarily to the RP and the spine fight. But the fact that despite that, it’s still an absolute less amount of time to clear, means objectively it is exactly that, a raid that doesn’t actually take as much time to clear.

Clearly SoO and DS are the 2 major pain points in the game. Why not put a skip in both? I’m not aware of any other raid that is complained about in such a manner other than these 2 raids.

Dude Clark is a super troll. He pops up constantly just to either sound like a contrairian and trolling. Honestly, just ignore him and that other guy who keeps making all the threads about how great it is being part of the alphabet community.

Hopefully enough people will learn their games, and ignore them and all of their threads and comments and hopefully they’ll get tired of being ignored and go away.

Just put him on ignore. I did ages ago. He’s a well known troll on the forum.

How do you put someone on ignore?

Click on the username of the person and on their post history page on the right you will see a button that says “Normal” with a drop down arrow. Click that button and select “Ignored”. But make sure you specify the “forever” option afterwards as otherwise the default ignore period is only a short time which is stupid. Ignore should always default to “forever” IMO.

If someone has hidden their profile, you can still put them on ignore, its just a little trickier. You need to go to your own post history page, then click on “Preferences” and then “Users” on the left of the screen. You will be presented with a box that you can add characters to which will be ignored but you will need to manually type the character name and server (“name-server”).

If the user tries to hide themselves further by using text alt characters (like clark does) you can still catch them by right-clicking their name in the comment thread and opening up their post history page in another tab. You can then copy their username and server from within the URL string in the browser itself and then paste that into the field/box I mentioned before.

Blizz seriously need to make ignoring people a lot simpler. Most forums have a simple button or drop down on every single post a user makes that anyone can then use to ignore other peoples account through no more than 1-2 clicks. The ignore system on this forum is beyond obtuse by comparison.

Lol nooo Clark just has a different opinion than everyone else most of the time, myself included. I happen to know that despite this he is a really decent guy.

I thoroughly get a kick out of reading his posts and especially reading the responses his posts get.

Because the issue isn’t about clearing the raid
 ONCE.

The issue is that the item people are trying to get has a 0.001% drop rate and the only way to dream of EVER getting it in any practical sense is to run 20-30 alts through it.

So it’s not that it’s “just an hour”
the reality is that it’s 20-30 hours because of the need to push alts through it.

SoO either needs a skip, or we need to agree that NOTHING should have a drop rate lower than 1%.

I would be fine running SoO 20+ times a week in its current state
if the drop rate was 1%.

i have 6 plate characters i use to farm the garrosh shoulders for and i just stopped trying because its too damn long. im happy for this change when they add it.

I agree with people
 stop advertising for youtube people.

Also, SoO takes no time to clear at all, the developers should not be devoting development time and resources to such a silly thing.

How is this annoying, you only have to go up one tower. It takes a couple of minutes to kill that boss these days.

Omg, finally! Thank you Blizzard!

i got my sham set the tusks just don’t interest me i had enough of soo was already tired of it when it was current imagine killing garrosh so much just to get heirloom weapons should there be a skip heck ya.

For a minute I thought it was about player housing and Ion finally said sure, we’re giving it to you finally.

But no, I was sadly misled. :sob:

See above.

It’s not that it “only takes an hour
 to do it ONCE.”

It’s that you will need to run it on 20-30 alts. Every week.

NO ONE would care about wanting a skip if the drop rate on Tusks was 1%.

Turret got a 33% chance of working. Target reticle gets trapped inside the turret geometry.
